METAUSDT.P: short setup from support at 628.40
SETUP CONTEXT:
METAUSDT.P is forming a setup that I really like, so I’ll explain it in more detail.
This is a situation where there are many factors AGAINST a short, but there is one single factor that can outweigh them all. We see the asset dropped sharply and approached a strong support level from far away. This is a strong signal against a short breakdown, as we understand there is no energy left to break a solid level—the entire daily ATR (Average True Range) has already been exhausted. Most likely, there should be a bounce.
However, notice what the asset is doing after this sharp drop. It stops right at the level, goes into consolidation directly above it, and hits the exact same price over and over again. The fact that we do not see a bounce here strongly grabs my attention. The longer we stand above the level, the more energy accumulates for a breakout. These are factors that go against standard logic. We see what we shouldn't see, and we don't see what we should see.
A bounce is what most expect here, but if a short breakdown triggers, it should be very powerful. I am expecting a short. However, do not forget that we are dealing with probabilities, and it is impossible to account for every single factor—there are simply too many.
