Two of our live Topstep accounts passed their evaluations today — both running the same rules-based SMC system on MNQ 15-minute charts, both deliberately throttled the entire time.
The throttle: Topstep's consistency rule caps your best day at 50% of total profit. So instead of pushing size, we paused trading on strong days and let small sessions accumulate. Account 1 (9 AM–1 PM session): +$3,717 in its first week, 36 trades. Account 2 (10 AM–1 PM session): +$4,139 over two weeks, 56 trades.
What the chart shows: every entry came from Break-of-Structure + Order Block confluence — the engine only fires when multiple factors align (we score 12 of them). On June 8 both accounts went red about −$1,000. The system survived it because no single day was oversized — which is exactly what the consistency rule forces you to learn.
