Gold update :
Gold remains under pressure as strong US PPI and CPI data continue to support the Fed’s higher-for-longer interest rate outlook.
At the same time, the ongoing strength of the USD and rising US Treasury yields are limiting gold’s upside momentum today.
In addition, India’s move to increase gold import taxes is also adding pressure to gold prices in the near term.
Personal opinion:
Gold price is currently consolidating within a tight range and preparing for a strong volatility move ahead. Any breakout beyond the trendline could trigger a powerful bullish or bearish movement following that direction.
The bullish momentum of the USD has not weakened yet, which means gold may continue facing pressure and remain bearish for the rest of today.
