BTC POC Scout

BTC POC Scout
An intraday entry scout for Bitcoin built around one idea: the price where the most volume traded yesterday is the level the market cares about today. Price tends to return to that Point of Control, react to it, and either bounce or break — the Scout looks for the bounce, in the direction the higher timeframe is already moving.
How it works
Point of Control — At each session rollover (daily by default), the previous session’s volume is sliced into price bins and the bin with the most volume becomes the POC. It’s held fixed for the whole session, so the level never moves while you’re trading it. The Value Area High and Low (the band holding 70% of volume) are drawn for context.
Trend filter — EMA 21 and EMA 75 on the 15-minute chart decide direction. Fast above slow = longs only. Fast below slow = shorts only. No counter-trend trades. Background shades green or red so the bias is always visible.
Entry — On the chart timeframe (designed for the 2-minute), price must enter the POC zone and print a rejection candle: it pokes the level and closes back on the trend side with a meaningful wick. A cooldown blocks repeat signals while price chops around the level. Faded triangles mark touches that were filtered out, so you can see what the Scout skipped and why.
Risk — Stop sits just past the POC on the wrong side. Two targets: TP1 at 1R for the quick-profit half of a split position, TP2 at 4R for the runner. Entry, stop, and targets are drawn on every signal.
Settings
Every input has a tooltip explaining what it does, what the default is, and what changing it will do. POC resolution, zone width, trend EMAs and timeframe, rejection strictness, cooldown, stop distance, and target multiples are all adjustable.
Alerts
Two alert conditions (LONG / SHORT) fire JSON payloads with symbol, side, price, and timeframe — ready for a webhook into an automated system.
Notes
Designed as the entry trigger for an automated BTC trading bot; the same rules are meant to be ported to code so the chart and the bot agree. Works on any symbol with volume data, but the defaults (zone width, stop distance as % of price) are tuned for Bitcoin. Pine Script v6.
