DEFY BY MTM
DEFY is a structure-reading tool that turns several technical readings into one decision process. It combines key levels, exhaustion bands, a trend tracker and a confirmation score. When enough confirmations line up, it prints an idea card and draws the full trade plan on the chart: entry, warning line, stop loss and three targets.
HOW IT WORKS
Key levels Swing pivots are grouped into zones where price has reacted before. Only the nearest levels are shown, spaced apart so they do not overlap. Zones above price use the bear colour and zones below price use the bull colour.
Exhaustion bands An inner, a mid and an outer band are drawn around a smooth centre line (length 89 by default). The bands are centred on the past, and the most recent stretch is shown as a dashed projection that fades towards the current bar. Signals use the causal (non-shifted) values, so they never depend on future bars.
Trend tracker • Cloud: a fast and a slow average. Blue means an uptrend and red means a downtrend. • Candle colours: bull, bear or grey (transition). Gold candles mark strong, high-volume bodies. • Follow-up arrows: they appear only after an idea, for 15 bars, and only while momentum agrees with it.
Confirmation score and stars An idea needs a valid candle, a close through the previous fractal and at least 3 confirmations. The score starts at +3 and rises by one for each extra confluence: band touches (inner, mid, outer), a key level, the cloud, momentum, moving-average order, bounce and cross, engulfing, wick rejection, volume, fair value gap, RSI and structure. • +6 to +7 = ★ (base idea) • +8 to +9 = ★★ (strong idea) • +10 and above = ★★★ (exceptional idea) • 👑 King Idea: 10+ confirmations on a gold candle. The Idea Filter decides which ideas are shown and alerted (from +3 up to King only).
TRADE PLAN (fixed on the signal candle) • Entry Mode: Candle Close, or a 50% Pullback of the signal candle (cancelled if price does not come back within 10 bars). • WARNING: the extreme of the signal candle. If price rejects this line, the idea has failed. • Stop loss: one ATR beyond the warning line. • Target Mode: Standard (1R / 2R / 3R), Squeeze (next bands, for fast scalps), Stretch (2R / 4R / 6R) or Swing (3R / 6R / 9R). • Labels show each distance in pips on forex and in points on gold, indices and crypto.
VOLUME BREAKS When a volume spike coincides with a trend break, a yellow "Vol: +x%" label shows how far volume sits above its average.
ALERTS Use "Any alert() function call" with "Once Per Bar Close". Each idea sends one JSON message (direction, score, stars, King flag, entry, warning, SL and TP1–TP3), ready for webhooks. Follow-up events for the same idea carry the same id: entry hit (pullback mode), TP1, TP2, TP3, stop loss and cancel. Simple "DEFY Compra" (buy) and "DEFY Venda" (sell) conditions are also available.
SETTINGS Themes (Classic, Dark, Light, Ladies), band visibility and fill, projection, moving averages, arrow mode and size, cloud speed (Active, Steady, Smooth), volume labels, idea filter and size, entry mode and target mode.
RECOMMENDED USE • Works on forex, gold, indices and crypto, on any timeframe. • Check the trend first, then the confirmations and the stars. Choose the entry, then manage the trade around the warning line. • Ideas and levels are fixed on candle close and do not repaint.
