MMC - Liquidity Hunt Area by (JPT)

4 358
🔷 OVERVIEW

The MMC Liquidity Hunt Area [JPT] identifies potential liquidity zones around previous swing highs and swing lows. These areas represent locations where stop-loss orders and liquidity may accumulate before price makes a reversal or continuation move.

The indicator visually highlights these liquidity areas and detects when price sweeps the level and closes back inside it, signaling a potential liquidity hunt.

🔷 HOW IT WORKS

• Buy-Side Liquidity: Previous swing highs are treated as potential buy-side liquidity, where buy stops may be resting above the high.
• Sell-Side Liquidity: Previous swing lows are treated as potential sell-side liquidity, where sell stops may be resting below the low.
• Liquidity Zones: Each detected swing high/low is surrounded by an ATR-based zone to account for normal market volatility.
• Buy-Side Hunt: Triggered when price trades above a previous swing high but closes back below that level.
• Sell-Side Hunt: Triggered when price trades below a previous swing low but closes back above that level.

• Once a liquidity level is swept, it becomes inactive and will not trigger repeatedly.

🔷 HOW TO USE

Use the highlighted zones to identify areas where price may be targeting liquidity.

🔹 BUY-SIDE HUNT
When price sweeps above a previous swing high and closes back below it, the indicator marks an This can indicate that buy-side liquidity has been taken and may provide a potential area to watch for bearish confirmation.

🔹 SELL-SIDE HUNT
When price sweeps below a previous swing low and closes back above it, the indicator marks an MMC SELL-SIDE HUNT. This can indicate that sell-side liquidity has been taken and may provide a potential area to watch for bullish confirmation.

For higher-quality setups, combine liquidity hunts with your existing market structure, trend, price-action, or confirmation rules rather than treating every hunt as an automatic entry.

🔷 IMPORTANT NOTE

A liquidity hunt is not a guaranteed reversal signal. Price can sweep a liquidity level and continue in the same direction.

The indicator uses confirmed pivot highs and lows, meaning a swing point is only identified after the selected Pivot Length has elapsed. Increasing Pivot Length produces fewer but generally more significant liquidity levels, while decreasing it produces more frequent levels.

The zone thickness is calculated using ATR, allowing the liquidity area to adapt to market volatility.

Use proper risk management and always wait for additional confirmation when necessary.
