Trend Dashboard - Intraday & Swing

# Trend Dashboard – Intraday & Swing | Multi-Timeframe Trend, Entry Signals & 10/50/200 SMA
## 1. Overview
The **Trend Dashboard – Intraday & Swing** is a multi-timeframe technical analysis indicator designed to help traders evaluate market direction, trend strength, momentum, and potential entry opportunities from a single TradingView chart.
It combines a multi-timeframe trend scoring engine, intraday and swing bias calculations, 5-minute entry conditions, 3-minute scalping conditions, a 34 EMA channel, RSI, MACD, Stochastic Momentum, volume strength, and customizable 10, 50, and 200 Simple Moving Averages (SMAs).
The objective is to help traders make more structured decisions by identifying directional alignment across timeframes rather than relying on a single indicator or isolated candle.
The indicator is designed for traders who want a practical dashboard for intraday trading, scalping, and swing-trading analysis.
**Key features:**
- Multi-timeframe trend analysis across nine timeframes
- Seven trend-strength classifications
- Intraday and swing directional bias

## 2. Multi-Timeframe Trend Analysis
The dashboard evaluates market conditions on the following timeframes:
| Timeframe | Typical purpose |
|---|---|
| 1 minute | Very short-term price direction |
| 3 minutes | Scalping analysis |
| 5 minutes | Intraday entry analysis |
| 15 minutes | Intraday trend confirmation |
| 30 minutes | Broader intraday context |
| 1 hour | Primary intraday directional context |
| 4 hours | Higher-timeframe trend context |
| Daily | Short- to medium-term trend context |
| Weekly | Broader market direction |
Each timeframe receives a trend score based on several technical conditions. The score is converted into one of seven trend classifications.
### Trend classifications
- **STRONG BULL:** Score of +7 or higher
- **BULLISH:** Score from +4 to +6
- **EARLY BULL:** Score of +2 to +3
- **NEUTRAL:** Score between -1 and +1
- **EARLY BEAR:** Score from -3 to -2
- **BEARISH:** Score from -6 to -4
- **STRONG BEAR:** Score of -7 or lower
The dashboard also uses symbols and configurable colors to make the trend classifications easier to interpret.
### How the trend score is calculated
The trend engine combines these conditions:
1. **Price versus 20 EMA:** Bullish points when price is above the 20 EMA and bearish points when below.
2. **Price versus 50 EMA:** Adds directional points based on the price's position relative to the 50 EMA.
3. **20 EMA direction:** Compares the current EMA with its value five bars earlier.
4. **50 EMA direction:** Compares the current EMA with its value five bars earlier.
5. **Momentum:** Compares the current close with the close five bars earlier.
6. **Market structure:** Adds two bullish points for a higher-high/higher-low structure or two bearish points for a lower-high/lower-low structure.
7. **Breakout or breakdown:** Checks whether price has moved beyond the previous 20-bar high or low.
The individual contributions are combined into a score. This is a rule-based trend model, not a probability estimate or a guarantee of future direction.
For higher-timeframe readings, the script uses a prior-bar calculation to reduce the risk of using an unfinished higher-timeframe candle. Historical and real-time behaviour should still be evaluated on the intended chart timeframe.
---
## 3. Intraday Bias
The intraday bias combines the 1-hour, 15-minute, and 5-minute trend scores.
### Bullish intraday bias
The indicator identifies a bullish intraday bias when:
- The 1-hour score is at least +4.
- The 15-minute score is at least +2.
- The 5-minute score is at least +2.
### Bearish intraday bias
The indicator identifies a bearish intraday bias when:
- The 1-hour score is -4 or lower.
- The 15-minute score is -2 or lower.
- The 5-minute score is -2 or lower.
If neither set of conditions is met, the intraday bias remains neutral.
### How to use it
A bullish bias suggests prioritising long setups, while a bearish bias suggests prioritising short setups. A neutral bias indicates that the required alignment is absent.
The bias is a directional filter, not an entry signal by itself. Traders should still evaluate support and resistance, opening-range levels, price structure, stop placement, and available reward relative to risk.
---
## 4. Swing Bias
The swing-bias engine combines the weekly, daily, and 4-hour trend scores.
**Bullish swing bias:**
- Weekly trend score is at least +2.
- Daily trend score is at least +2.
- 4-hour trend score is zero or higher.
**Bearish swing bias:**
- Weekly trend score is -2 or lower.
- Daily trend score is -2 or lower.
- 4-hour trend score is zero or lower.
Otherwise, the swing bias remains neutral.
This calculation helps traders assess whether broader market direction is aligned across multiple timeframes. It does not determine the ideal holding period or guarantee that a trend will continue.
---
## 5. Intraday Entry Engine – Confirmed 5-Minute Conditions
The intraday entry engine uses confirmed 5-minute candle data and the intraday bias.
### Long entry conditions
A long-entry condition is generated when:
1. The intraday bias is bullish.
2. The previous confirmed 5-minute candle's low touches or falls below the 34 EMA of highs.
3. That candle closes above the 34 EMA of highs.
This represents a bullish reclaim of the upper boundary of the EMA channel in the direction of the established intraday bias.
### Short entry conditions
A short-entry condition is generated when:
1. The intraday bias is bearish.
2. The previous confirmed 5-minute candle's high touches or exceeds the 34 EMA of lows.
3. That candle closes below the 34 EMA of lows.
This represents a bearish reclaim failure at the lower boundary of the EMA channel.
The engine displays LONG ENTRY, SHORT ENTRY, or WAIT according to these conditions.
**Important:** These are rule-based conditions, not guaranteed trade recommendations. The signal does not independently calculate position size, a stop-loss price, or a profit target. Traders must determine those levels before entering a position.
---
## 6. Scalping Entry Engine – Confirmed 3-Minute Conditions
The scalping engine applies stricter alignment across the 15-minute, 5-minute, and 3-minute trend scores.
### Scalp long conditions
- The 15-minute, 5-minute, and 3-minute scores are each at least +2.
- The confirmed 3-minute close is higher than its value two bars earlier.
- The 20 EMA is higher than its value two bars earlier.
- The confirmed 3-minute candle's low touches or falls below the 34 EMA of highs.
- That candle closes above the 34 EMA of highs.
### Scalp short conditions
- The 15-minute, 5-minute, and 3-minute scores are each -2 or lower.
- The confirmed 3-minute close is lower than its value two bars earlier.
- The 20 EMA is lower than its value two bars earlier.
- The confirmed 3-minute candle's high touches or exceeds the 34 EMA of lows.
- That candle closes below the 34 EMA of lows.
The dashboard reports SCALP LONG, SCALP SHORT, or WAIT.
Because this engine combines direction, momentum, and a channel-reclaim condition, it may produce fewer signals than a simple moving-average crossover system. It can also miss profitable moves or generate losing signals in choppy conditions.
---
## 7. The 34 EMA High/Low Channel
The indicator plots two exponential moving averages on the active chart:
- **34 EMA High:** EMA calculated from candle highs.
- **34 EMA Low:** EMA calculated from candle lows.
The space between these two lines forms a dynamic price channel.
### Practical interpretation
- Price reclaiming the upper boundary can indicate improving short-term strength.
- Price falling below the lower boundary can indicate increasing short-term weakness.
- Price moving repeatedly through the channel can indicate choppy conditions.
- Pullbacks toward the channel may offer a location to assess continuation, provided the broader trend remains aligned.
The channel is used directly in the intraday and scalping entry calculations.
Users can independently enable or disable the two EMA lines and customize their colors and line width.
---
## 8. Customizable 10 SMA, 50 SMA, and 200 SMA
The indicator also includes three simple moving averages calculated from closing prices on the active chart timeframe.
### 10 SMA – Short-term direction
The 10 SMA reacts relatively quickly to price changes. It can help traders assess short-term momentum and identify potential pullback areas.
Possible uses:
- Monitor whether price is maintaining short-term directional strength.
- Evaluate pullbacks during a trend.
- Observe whether price is persistently crossing the average, which may indicate a lack of clear direction.
### 50 SMA – Intermediate trend reference
The 50 SMA provides a slower trend reference than the 10 SMA.
Possible uses:
- Assess whether price is trading above or below an intermediate-term average.
- Identify areas where a pullback might deserve closer attention.
- Compare short-term price action with a slower trend reference.
### 200 SMA – Longer-term trend reference
The 200 SMA helps put the current price action into a broader context.
Possible uses:
- Assess whether the market is trading above or below a widely followed long-term average.
- Identify a potential dynamic support or resistance area.
- Avoid interpreting a short-term bullish setup without considering the broader price context.
### Customization
The 10 SMA, 50 SMA, and 200 SMA can be enabled or disabled independently. Each has its own configurable color, and line width can be adjusted.
The SMAs are visual analysis tools. They do not alter the indicator's existing trend scores, bias calculations, or entry conditions.
---
## 9. Dashboard Momentum and Market Metrics
The main dashboard includes the following readings.
### Trend Bias
Displays the synchronized intraday bias as BULLISH, BEARISH, or NEUTRAL.
### Trend Strength
Measures the percentage distance between the current chart close and the 20 EMA:
Absolute percentage distance = |Close - 20 EMA| / 20 EMA × 100.
The dashboard labels this distance:
- STRONG: 1.5% or greater
- MODERATE: 0.5% to below 1.5%
- WEAK: below 0.5%
This measures distance from the EMA, not the statistical strength or probability of a trend. A large distance can also indicate that price is extended.
### Volume Strength
Compares current chart volume with its 20-bar average:
Volume ratio = Current volume / 20-bar average volume.
The displayed classifications are:
- HIGH: ratio of 1.5 or greater
- NORMAL: ratio from 0.8 to below 1.5
- LOW: ratio below 0.8
This uses the active chart timeframe's volume and 20-bar average, rather than a separate daily-volume calculation. Volume characteristics vary by instrument and data feed.
### RSI (14)
Displays the 14-period Relative Strength Index.
The dashboard highlights readings of 60 or higher as bullish, 40 or lower as bearish, and intermediate readings as a middle zone. RSI should be interpreted in context; strong trends can remain elevated or depressed for extended periods.
### MACD Signal
Compares the MACD line with its signal line:
- BULLISH when the MACD line is above the signal line.
- BEARISH when the MACD line is below the signal line.
- NEUTRAL when the lines are equal.
### Stochastic Momentum
Uses the 14-period Stochastic %K and its 3-period SMA (%D).
The dashboard classifies the relationship between %K and %D and marks readings at or above 80 as overbought and readings at or below 20 as oversold. Overbought does not automatically mean sell, and oversold does not automatically mean buy.
These metrics are intended to support interpretation of market conditions. They are not all independent confirmations, and their signals can conflict.
---
## 10. How to Use the Indicator for Intraday Trading
### Step 1 – Establish directional context
Start with the 1-hour and 15-minute trend readings. Check whether the 5-minute trend supports the same direction.
Avoid forcing a trade when the higher-timeframe and lower-timeframe readings are strongly opposed.
### Step 2 – Check market structure and important price levels
Mark the day's opening range, previous-day high and low, important support and resistance, and any relevant session levels using your preferred chart tools.
Do not assume that the indicator's trend bias identifies these price levels automatically.
### Step 3 – Assess the moving averages
Review the 10 SMA, 50 SMA, and 200 SMA.
For example, price above all three averages, with the averages generally rising, can support a bullish interpretation. Price below all three, with the averages generally falling, can support a bearish interpretation.
This is contextual analysis, not a required condition in the script's entry engine.
### Step 4 – Wait for a defined entry condition
For intraday trading, monitor the 5-minute entry engine. For faster scalping, assess the 3-minute engine together with the 15-minute and 5-minute trend readings.
Wait for the complete conditions to form rather than entering solely because the dashboard says BULLISH or BEARISH.
### Step 5 – Plan the trade before entry
Identify the level that invalidates your trade idea. Calculate the stop distance and choose a position size that keeps the potential loss within your predetermined risk limit.
Check the next meaningful support or resistance level before entering. If there is insufficient room for a reasonable reward relative to risk, skip the trade.
### Step 6 – Manage and review
Follow your predefined exit rules. Do not move a stop farther away simply to avoid booking a loss.
Record the setup, market conditions, entry, stop, target, and result. Review performance over a meaningful sample of trades before changing the rules.
---
## 11. Example Intraday Workflows
### Bullish continuation example
1. The 1-hour trend is bullish.
2. The 15-minute and 5-minute trends agree.
3. Price is holding above relevant support and the moving averages.
4. A confirmed 5-minute candle reclaims the 34 EMA High.
5. The trader checks the invalidation level, available reward, and position size before deciding whether to enter.
### Bearish continuation example
1. The 1-hour trend is bearish.
2. The 15-minute and 5-minute trends agree.
3. Price is trading below relevant resistance and the moving averages.
4. A confirmed 5-minute candle reclaims below the 34 EMA Low.
5. The trader checks the invalidation level, available reward, and position size before deciding whether to enter.
These examples describe how the tool can be used. They do not establish that either setup is profitable, and they should be validated on historical and forward-tested data.
---
## 12. Alerts
The indicator provides alert conditions for:
- Price crossing above the 34 EMA High.
- Price crossing below the 34 EMA Low.
- Intraday long-entry conditions.
- Intraday short-entry conditions.
- Scalp long-entry conditions.
- Scalp short-entry conditions.
To configure an alert:
1. Add the indicator to your chart.
2. Open TradingView's Create Alert dialog.
3. Select this indicator and choose the desired alert condition.
4. Set the alert frequency and notification method.
5. Test the alert and confirm its behaviour on your intended chart timeframe.
An alert notifies you that a programmed condition has occurred. It does not execute a trade or guarantee a particular outcome. Confirm the intended timing and frequency in TradingView before relying on alerts in live markets.
---
## 13. Customization
The indicator includes settings for:
- Dashboard visibility.
- Dashboard position.
- Dashboard text size.
- Trend classification colors.
- Text color.
- Independent visibility of the 34 EMA High and Low.
- EMA channel colors and line width.
- Independent visibility of the 10 SMA, 50 SMA, and 200 SMA.
- Individual SMA colors and line widths.
The dashboard can be positioned in different areas of the chart to suit different screen layouts.
---
## 14. Suggested Chart Timeframes
The indicator's calculations are designed around specific timeframes, even though the moving averages and dashboard metrics can be displayed on other charts.
- **3-minute chart:** Scalping analysis.
- **5-minute chart:** Intraday entry analysis.
- **15-minute chart:** Intraday context and confirmation.
- **30-minute and 1-hour charts:** Broader intraday trend context.
- **4-hour, daily, and weekly charts:** Swing and higher-timeframe context.
For the intended intraday and scalping workflows, use the 3-minute and 5-minute charts to evaluate the respective entry engines. The indicator requests data from those timeframes internally, so signals may appear on other chart timeframes according to the script's data-merging behaviour.
---
## 15. Important Limitations
- This is a technical analysis indicator, not an automated trading strategy or a guarantee of profitability.
- The trend scores are rule-based classifications and are not probabilities of future price movement.
- Moving averages and momentum indicators can lag price.
- Sideways markets can generate conflicting trend readings and false entry conditions.
- The trend score uses recent market structure and breakout conditions, which may not identify every relevant swing or breakout.
- Volume readings depend on the instrument and the data supplied by the TradingView feed.
- The 10, 50, and 200 SMA lines are visual references and are not included in the existing entry-condition formulas.
- The script does not independently determine position size, stop-loss placement, profit targets, or portfolio-level risk.
- Alerts are not equivalent to broker orders.
- Different instruments, sessions, chart timeframes, spreads, and execution conditions can produce different outcomes.
Please validate the indicator on your intended market and timeframe before using it with real capital.

## 16. Risk Disclaimer
This indicator is provided for educational and analytical purposes only. It is not financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, futures contract, option, currency pair, or other financial instrument.
Trading involves substantial risk, including the possibility of losing all or part of the capital committed. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Users are responsible for their own analysis, risk management, trading decisions, and compliance with applicable laws and broker requirements.
**Use the dashboard as a decision-support tool, not as a substitute for a trading plan.**
- Rule-based 5-minute intraday entry conditions
- Rule-based 3-minute scalping conditions
- 34 EMA High/Low channel
- Customizable 10 SMA, 50 SMA, and 200 SMA
- RSI, MACD, Stochastic Momentum, and volume-strength readings
- Configurable dashboard position, colors, and text size
- Alerts for EMA-channel crossovers and entry conditions
- Data Window outputs for selected trend scores and bias values
---

ملاحظات الأخبار
Added RSI divergence into the table as it is a key information for buying and selling. If you are already in a long position and you notice Bearish in the RSI divergence then you can exit the position.ملاحظات الأخبار
