Daily Volume Profile PRO [EXCAVO]
Per-Day Volume Distribution with Delta, Max Volume Level, Value Area,
Naked POC Tracking, Value Area Zones, and Previous Day Levels
The Daily Volume Profile PRO displays horizontal volume histograms for
each trading day directly on the price chart. It uses lower-timeframe data
to distribute volume across price bins, revealing where the most trading
activity occurred within each day.
This PRO version adds three features built for active traders: naked POC
tracking, Value Area zone highlighting, and previous day level references.

▸ HOW TO USE
Step 1 → Add the indicator to any intraday chart. Volume histograms
appear for the last 7 trading days (configurable).
Step 2 → Look at the orange horizontal line inside each day. This is
the max volume level - the price where most volume traded.
Step 3 → In Delta mode (default ON), blue bars show buy volume and
red bars show sell volume. Compare their proportions to
gauge intraday buying vs selling pressure.
Step 4 → Watch the dashed orange lines extending from previous days.
These are naked POCs - max volume levels that price has not
revisited since.
Step 5 → Check the dotted reference lines for yesterday's VAH and
VAL. These previous day levels provide context for the
current session.
Step 6 → Use the dashboard for today's metrics: max volume price,
Value Area boundaries, delta, and naked POC count.

▸ HOW IT CALCULATES
◆ Volume Distribution into Price Bins
The daily price range (high - low) is divided into N equally-spaced
bins (default 150). Lower-timeframe candle data is fetched via
request.security_lower_tf. Each LTF candle's volume is assigned to
the bin matching its close price:
bin_index = floor((close - day_low) / bin_size)
In delta mode, volume is split: if the LTF candle closed above its
open, volume goes to the buy side; otherwise to the sell side.
◆ Max Volume Level
The bin with the highest accumulated volume is the max volume level.
Its price is the center of that bin:
poc_price = day_low + (max_volume_bin × bin_size) + (bin_size / 2)
◆ Value Area — CBOT Expand-from-POC Method
Starting from the max volume bin, the algorithm expands outward one bin
at a time, always choosing the direction (up or down) with the larger
adjacent bin volume. Expansion stops when the cumulative volume reaches
the target percentage (default 70%) of total daily volume. The upper
and lower boundaries become VAH and VAL.
◆ Delta Calculation
Buy/sell volume is classified by LTF candle direction:
delta% = ((buy_volume - sell_volume) / total_volume) × 100
In delta rendering mode, each bin is split into two segments — buy
and sell — with widths proportional to their share of that bin's volume.
◆ Naked POC Detection
When a trading day ends, its max volume level is stored. On each
subsequent bar, the indicator checks whether price has reached that
level. If not, the level persists as a dashed line (naked POC). When
price touches it, the line is removed. The pool is capped at a
configurable maximum.
◆ Polyline Rendering
Each day's profile is drawn as a staircase polygon using polyline.
Bin widths are normalized against the maximum bin volume:
width = (bin_volume / max_bin_volume) × day_bar_width

▸ WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
◆ Naked POC Tracking
When a day ends, its max volume level becomes a "naked POC" - an untested
level that price has not revisited. Naked POCs persist on the chart as
dashed lines until price touches them.
◆ Value Area Zone
Each day's Value Area is highlighted as a semi-transparent zone between
VAH and VAL, with an orange dotted border. This makes the high-volume
price range immediately visible without needing to trace individual lines.
◆ Previous Day Levels
Yesterday's Value Area High and Value Area Low are extended as dotted
reference lines into today's session.
◆ High-Resolution Polyline Rendering
The histogram uses up to 200 price bins per day, rendered as polyline
staircases instead of individual boxes. This allows much finer volume
resolution without hitting TradingView drawing limits.
◆ Delta Volume Mode
Each bar splits into buy volume (bullish candles) and sell volume (bearish
candles). The stacked display shows exactly where buyers and sellers
dominated within the day's price range.
◆ Value Area Detection
The CBOT expand-from-POC algorithm computes the Value Area - the price
range containing a configurable percentage (default 70%) of total daily
volume. VAH/VAL lines are available as optional overlays.
◆ Lower-Timeframe Accumulation
Volume data comes from a configurable lower timeframe (default 1 minute),
providing granular bin distribution even on higher chart timeframes.
