Here we are again, price almost back at the base of the range.
Gold really is a beautiful asset. Amazing
For today, the situation is actually worse than yesterday. Why?
Simple. It’s Friday. And statistically Friday is not usually a bullish day for gold.
On top of that, the whole structure is still shifted to the downside, and the macro environment is not helping.
Inflation fears are rising and oil keeps pushing higher.
We also have the GDP data today. And don’t forget… tomorrow is Saturday.
And what often happens on Saturdays lately? Something gets bombed somewhere.
So yes, stay careful.
So what do we do?
Good question.
I follow price action.
If it goes well, great. If it doesn’t, we reset on Monday and start a new week. Simple as that.
🔑 Why did gold drop so hard?🔑
Energy prices are rising → inflation fears increase → bond yields move higher → gold gets hit.
Yesterday I warned that this could happen. We always need to prepare for the worst scenario.
Markets are still dominated by the tension between the United States and Iran and the possible impact on global oil supply.
Two oil tankers were hit off the coast of Iraq early Thursday morning and caught fire. One crew member died.
The ships, chartered by the London-based trading company Vitol, bring the total number of vessels hit to five in the last 36 hours. Iran is increasingly targeting tankers in the Gulf.
Stay alert for a possible immediate response or actions from the United Kingdom or the United States aimed at limiting further damage.
