Morgan Stanley just upgraded HOOD to Overweight with a $150 price target — calling out new growth engines across retirement, banking, credit cards, advisory, and prediction markets through 2028. They said the market is still underestimating what this company is becoming.
Deutsche Bank raised their target to $136, specifically citing the crypto ventures as the new growth driver. Scotiabank launched coverage with Sector Outperform and a $136 target saying the market is mispricing HOOD as a simple cyclical retail broker. Piper Sandler is at $145 on the back of NFL and NCAA prediction market revenues coming online this fall.
Cathie Wood bought $3.6 million of HOOD on September 5 — the day after the big Thursday rip. She bought into the strength.
Robinhood Ventures Fund II priced 8 million shares at $25 targeting up to $255 million — giving retail traders access to Y Combinator-linked private companies before they go public. That's an entirely new business line that generates fee revenue and brings a completely new customer type onto the platform.
