Gold Back Above 4700 – Recovery or Just Another Trap?

864
Yesterday, Gold started the day with a massive sell-off, dropping aggressively toward the 4638 low.
However, after the panic faded, buyers stepped in strongly and managed to push price back above the 4700 figure, with Gold eventually closing the day around 4717.
With this recovery, Gold once again re-entered the well-defined range it has been trading in for roughly a week now.

At this moment, I do not see a clean swing trade setup yet, but at least the market is giving us two very clear levels to watch:
- 4740–4750 zone → key resistance
- 4670–4680 zone → key support

The longer a market stays trapped inside a range, the more violent the breakout usually becomes once one side finally gives up.
And in my opinion, when this range eventually breaks for real, we could easily see a move of more than 1500 pips.

Now, I don’t like those analyses that basically say:
“If it doesn’t go up, it goes down.”

So instead of pretending certainty where there is none, I’ll simply say this:
At the moment, I remain out of the market, waiting for confirmation.

However, if I had to lean one direction right now, it would still be bearish.
Why I still lean bearish:
- Gold continues to struggle around resistance
- Recoveries are aggressive, but so are the sell-offs
- The market still feels unstable rather than bullish
- The inability to establish new highs keeps pressure on the downside

Trading view:
For now, I remain patient and wait for confirmation.
But if the downside eventually breaks cleanly, my bearish target will be around the 4500 zone now🚀
Trade ativo
Gold can't hold gains above 4700.
At least 4610 should be next
