Market Opening & Closing Times (with Holidays!)

It draws a line at every open and close for NYSE, LSE/Euronext, Tokyo/Seoul and Hong Kong. There’s also a little table showing what’s next and how long until it happens.

Almost everything can be turned off. You can show opens and closes separately for each market, so if you only care about the NYSE open, just keep that one. Lines, labels and the table can each be hidden too, and the table can sit in whichever corner bothers you least.

By default you get the last event and the next one. You can switch to just the next one, or show the past few weeks if you like looking back. Every color can be changed, including the ones for days when only London or only Paris is open (same for Tokyo and Seoul). Holidays are plain text boxes, so if I got a date wrong you can fix it yourself.

One setting is worth a minute: set “Time-axis timezone” to whatever your chart uses, and the bold times at the bottom will match your axis.

London and Paris open at the same moment, so they share a line, and Tokyo and Seoul do too. If one of them is closed for a holiday, the line changes color and tells you, e.g. “Euronext Open (LSE closed)”.

Holidays and half-days are built in through 2028. They’re plain text boxes in the settings, so you can fix or add dates yourself. Some 2028 dates aren’t official yet, so give them a quick check when the exchanges publish their calendars.

Works on intraday charts only. On 1D and up it hides itself.
