Smart Money Zones by HOV

Smart Money Zones marks the areas where a strong move began, at the base of a rally or the top of a sell-off. These are the price levels price often comes back to retest. Use it on the Daily (D) and Weekly (W) timeframes.

How it works

The script tracks swing highs and swing lows.
When price closes above the last swing high after a strong rally (at least 2× ATR by default), it finds the lowest point of that move and the last down candle there, called the base candle.
It draws two zones from that base:
Institutional Buy Zone (blue): from the base candle’s high down to its body.
Smart Money Buy Zone (indigo): the lower slice down to the swing low. A close below this zone means the setup has failed, so many traders put their stop just under it.
A ChoS (Change of Structure) line marks the swing high that was broken.
Sell setups work the same way in reverse. A close below a swing low after a strong drop draws an Institutional Sell Zone (slate) with a Smart Money Sell Zone on top.
Zones extend to the right until price closes through them. They are then removed, or greyed out if you turn removal off in the settings.

Settings

Swing length: how many bars on each side confirm a swing high or low.
Rally strength (× ATR): raise it to show only the strongest moves, lower it to show more zones.
Max active zones: how many zones per side stay on the chart.
Toggles for sell zones, swing price labels and ChoS lines.
Colors you can change for every zone. The defaults are dark, cool tones that stand out on light and warm chart backgrounds.
Alerts

Price enters an Institutional Buy Zone
Price enters a Smart Money Buy Zone
Price enters a Sell Zone
Notes

Zones form only after a breakout is confirmed by a close. Past zones don’t repaint, but the newest zone appears after the move has already started.
This is a tool for finding areas of interest, not a buy or sell signal by itself. Combine it with your own analysis and risk management.
