USDCAD trend forecast September 22 , 2025
💬The Canadian Dollar (CAD) outperformed on Friday, closing 0.15% higher against the US Dollar (USD) and ranking as the second-best performer among majors. Despite a sharp miss in July’s Canadian Retail Sales, the Loonie erased early losses and climbed 0.41% from trough to peak versus the Greenback.
The weak retail sales print failed to derail bullish CAD momentum, as traders largely dismissed the backward-looking data. With Canada’s domestic calendar offering little in the near term, attention now shifts to upcoming US releases, which are likely to dictate short-term direction for the USD/CAD pair.
