Gold just did exactly what it needed to do. That dump into 3,987 wasn't random weakness, it was a clean sweep of sell-side liquidity sitting below the range, and now price is starting to turn.
Here's the read: that whole drop from 4,350 down was a textbook bearish leg, BOS then ChoCH then BOS again inside the descending channel. But once it grabbed the 3,987 low, the character shifted. First bullish reaction candles are showing up on the lower timeframe, which tells me smart money got what it wanted down there and is ready to push price back up into premium before continuing.
My focus zone is 4,075–4,100, the unmitigated bearish order block. I want to see price retrace into that area, get the reaction, and confirm before looking for continuation higher. First stop is 4,125, the intraday draw. If that breaks clean, 4,236 is the real magnet, that's where the heavier resting liquidity is sitting on the higher timeframe.
This only stays valid above 3,987. A close back below that and the sweep idea is dead, that would mean sellers aren't done and the range just gets one more leg down instead of a reversal.
