Compression Master
The Compression Master v2.0 is a sophisticated volatility and structural analysis tool specifically designed to identify institutional "coiling" phases—periods where market energy is building up for an explosive expansion.Unlike standard breakout indicators, it combines mathematical volatility (Squeeze), structural price action (VCP), and institutional conviction (RVOL) into a single visual suite.Core Logic PillarsThe indicator operates on three distinct layers of market behavior:The "Squeeze" (Mathematical Coil): It constantly calculates the relationship between Bollinger Bands (which measure standard deviation) and Keltner Channels (which measure Average True Range). When the Bollinger Bands tuck inside the Keltner Channels, the market is officially in a "Squeeze," represented by the Orange Background. This indicates the market is "coiling" like a spring.The VCP & Inside Bar (Structural Tightness):Following Mark Minervini’s "Volatility Contraction Pattern" logic, the script looks for shrinking price ranges.VCP Labels: Appear when short-term volatility is significantly lower than long-term volatility, signaling that pullbacks are getting smaller (supply is drying up).Yellow Dots: Highlight "Inside Bars," where price is completely contained within the previous candle. A string of yellow dots represents the absolute apex of compression.The RVOL Filter (Institutional Validation):This is the "fraud detector." To prevent you from entering a false breakout (head-fake), the "BIG MOVE" signal will only fire if the breakout candle has a Relative Volume (RVOL) of 1.5x or higher.
