Terminator Session Extremes

Terminator Session Extremes — Summary
Purpose: An adaptive predictor that draws the likely daily High and Low on an intraday chart (built for 5m). It's a prediction/visualization tool, not a trade signal.
The core idea
You can't call both daily extremes at the open (~3% dead-on, we proved this). But the market usually prints one extreme early (the counter-trend side) and extends the other way. So the script waits for confirmation, then predicts each side differently.
How it works, step by step
1. Opening range (09:30–09:45) — tracks the first 15 minutes' high/low. No prediction locked yet.
2. Provisional band — while waiting, draws a faint dotted open ± (fraction × range forecast) zone as a placeholder guess (calibrated: 80% edges contain the day's extreme ~80% of the time).
3. Breakout (~09:50) — when price closes beyond the opening range, direction is confirmed, and it locks two lines:
- Locked extreme (solid, high-confidence) — the counter-trend extreme (the low if it broke up, the high if it broke down). This is the accurate side: it's the day's true extreme ~57% exactly / 62% within ±10 pts on real MNQ.
- Extension estimate (dashed, rough) — the other side, projected as locked ± 2.2 × opening-range size (a measured move; MAPE ~30%).
4. Self-correct — if price later breaks the opposite side of the opening range (a failed breakout/reversal), it flips direction and re-locks the lines. Fixes the ~39% of reversal days, so accuracy climbs through the session (55%→78%).
5. Alert fires on each lock / re-lock.
