Swing Clock [GBB]

Swing Clock [GBB]

Every zigzag has the same blind spot: a swing high or low is only confirmed after price has already reversed, so while a move is running you can't tell whether the extreme on your chart is the final one. Swing Clock gives you that missing information as odds. It shows how likely it is that the current swing's high or low is already in, how likely price is to reach the levels beyond it, and roughly when swings like this one tend to end. Every number comes from the swing history of the chart you are looking at.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Swings
  2. A swing ends when price comes back k × ATR(14) from its extreme. You choose the size: Micro (k = 1.5), Standard (2.5), Major (4.0) or Custom. Each finished swing is recorded with its size in ATR and its length in bars, so the history can be compared across calm and volatile periods.
  3. The live swing
  4. On every bar, the running swing is described by four things: its direction, how far price has already pulled back toward confirming a reversal, how many bars have passed since its high or low, and how large the swing already is. Earlier bars of this chart that looked the same, and whose outcome is now known, are counted to give hit rates.
  5. Thin data
  6. Situations that rarely occurred are pulled toward broader averages from the same chart (same direction and pullback depth, then the overall rate for that direction). Rare cases therefore don't produce confident-looking extremes.

WHAT YOU SEE

Zigzag and structure labels

Confirmed swings are drawn as solid lines and the live swing as a dashed line. Each confirmed pivot is labelled HH / LH / HL / LL with its size in ATR. Hover to see its length in bars.

Levels
Three levels beyond the current extreme, each labelled with its price and the chance that price reaches it before this swing ends, e.g. "7,582.00 · 31%". The odds count both the chance that the swing is already over and how far comparable swings went when they kept going. The lines move only when the swing makes a new extreme, while the odds update every bar. There is no time limit: the odds hold until the swing is confirmed. The width of the shaded zone is drawing space only. Gray instead of colour means there are few past swings of this size, so treat the numbers with more caution.

Time window
A faint box with a clock strip, set when the swing starts. It covers the bars in which half of comparable swings found their high or low. Once the swing runs past it, the box turns dashed and the panel shows OVERDUE.

Odds panel
- Window: how far through the time window the swing is
- Top in / Bottom in: chance the swing's high or low is already in
- Turn ≤N: chance the final high or low is set within the next N bars
- Conf ≤N: chance the reversal is confirmed within the next N bars
N depends on the timeframe: 5 on 1m, 3 on 2m–15m, 2 on 30m and above.
Status line: EXTENDING, IN TURN ZONE, TOP / BOTTOM LIKELY IN (above 50%) or OVERDUE.

Candle tint

Candles take the colour of the live swing and strengthen as it approaches its first level.

HOW TO USE IT

- Wait while Top in / Bottom in sits near 50%. That means no edge either way.
- Use the level odds to judge whether a target is realistic. A 30% level is missed about twice as often as it is hit.
- Watch for a clear shift: Top/Bottom in moving well above 50%, a level being tagged, or the time window closing.
- Combine it with your own setup and risk management. Swing Clock tells you where the odds stand, not what to trade.

ALERTS

Create one alert with "Any alert() function call". All alerts fire on bar close.
- Swing tagged a level
- Turn / Conf odds cross a threshold (default 65%)
- Top / bottom likely in
- Swing confirmed (with whether the zone and window were hit)
- Overdue

SETTINGS

Swing size (Micro / Standard / Major / Custom k and ATR length), pivot source (wicks or closes), toggles for levels, window, panel and labels, panel position, themes (Neon, Classic, Custom), and a "Start at" time to begin calculations from a chosen bar.
