█ RedK_VARSI Pro - Release Notes
This indicator is the Pro edition of my recently published open source indicator RedK DualTF Volume-Accelerated RSI (RedK_VARSI).
Please review the free RedK_VARSI release notes using the above link first — The details there cover the core concept, the volume-weighting logic, and the base indicator settings and usage scenarios in full. To avoid repetition, this write-up dives directly into the incremental features in the RedK_VARSI Pro edition.
Note: The free RedK_VARSI edition will continue to be freely available, and will continue to receive improvements and updates within its scope of features.
█ Incremental features in the RedK_VARSI Pro edition
Overall, the goal of the RedK_VARSI Pro edition is to add incremental analytical and trade setup inspection and prioritization layers - enable traders to make a faster and well-informed decision - by providing additional flexibility in the choice of the dual timeframe, "dashboard-style" / graded analysis of the chart, additional alignment signals and more alerts.
Incremental Features in details:
1. Two Context-TF methods to choose from — Timeframe or Multiplier
2. The VARSI Pro Info Panel — your VARSI navigation dashboard in the indicator pane
3. 5-mode VARSI classification + "Adjustable" transitional band
4. Graded dual-TF alignment for better setup identification
5. Expanded alerts - identify setups as they occur in real time
6. Optional price-panel Alignment Markers
█ 1. Context Timeframe — select between two methods
Set the Context (higher) timeframe two ways: Timeframe — select a fixed HTF (e.g. chart on 1H, Context set to 1D); or Multiplier — express it as a multiple of the chart's TF, so it scales as you change charts. Use whichever fits how you work.
Regardless of what you select as your Context TF method, the DualTF VARSI Pro engine works consistently the same. The VARSI Pro Info Panel will reflect your selected method and the final active Context TF - everything else works the same. Note: As you navigate between chart timeframes, you will receive a visual alert if the selected Context TF becomes lower than the Current TF - and the indicator will disable all associated HTF features (see screenshot)
The below screenshot shows a scenario where the selected Context TF is 5x of the Current TF. The Info Panel will remind the user of the currently selected method and calculate the actually implemented Context TF.
The below screenshot shows a scenario where the selected Context TF is lower than the chart's Current TF - effectively disabling the HTF functionality
█ 2. The VARSI Pro Info Panel
A compact status table that sits in the indicator pane and shows the full live read at a glance. Position and text size are selectable.
Let's explore the Info Panel row by row:
█ 3. 5-mode classification + adjustable transitional band
Each VARSI line is sorted into one of five non-overlapping states — Overbought / Bullish / Transitional / Bearish / Oversold — using a transitional band you set around the 50 midline (default ±10), drawn on the pane. This feature provides traders with a readable, meaningful status beyond a raw value or just a line plot.
The screenshot below shows the Info Panel in full bullish alignment mode - also showing the adjustable Transitional Bands - which can be used to tweak the location where the VARSI value moves from "transitional" to "strong"
█ 4. Graded dual-TF alignment
Alignment markers fire when the current-TF and Context-TF VARSI agree on a direction — this is the two-timeframe confirmation the DualTF VARSI concept is built for. This alignment will surface as a graded on-pane signal as well as the Alignment Markers in the indicator panel.

Beyond the current-TF alerts, the Pro edition adds:

█ 2. The VARSI Pro Info Panel
A compact status table that sits in the indicator pane and shows the full live read at a glance. Position and text size are selectable.
Let's explore the Info Panel row by row:
- Title row — shows the Current TF RSI length and averaging method plus the current alignment state. The whole row is background-colored by alignment — green when both timeframes agree bullish, red when both agree bearish, orange when they don't — as the strongest & quickest visual clue in the panel. Turns gray if the Context TF is invalid.
- Volume Weighted — Yes or No, following the indicator settings. When the symbol has no volume feed, the value will show No data, in which case the calculation falls back to unweighted RSI automatically.
- Current TF — the chart's timeframe which Current TF VARSI is running on.
- Context Method — which HTF method is active, Timeframe or Multiplier.
- Context TF — the resolved higher timeframe. Shows invalid (red) if the chosen Context TF is lower than the chart's TF.
- Current RSI — the current-TF VARSI value and its mode (Overbought / Bullish / Transitional / Bearish / Oversold), tinted by mode color.
- RSI vs Signal — the VARSI line's position relative to its signal line. Shows N/A when the signal line is turned off.
- Context RSI — the Context-TF VARSI value and its mode, tinted by mode color. Shows N/A when the Context TF is invalid.

- RSI crosses above Signal — fires when the VARSI line crosses up through its signal line.
- RSI crosses below Signal — fires when the VARSI line crosses down through its signal line.

█ 6. Optional price-panel markers
Alignment markers can also be plotted on the price panel, not only the indicator pane — so the signal stays in view while you watch price.
█ Roadmap — what's next
- RedK_VARSI Pro Screener Companion — Please expect a dedicated "lightweight" edition of RedK_VARSI Pro tailored especially for use with TradingView's Pine Screener. It will enable traders to run scans on existing watchlist or full market lists for VARSI setups and Dual (current/Context) TF alignment.
- Ongoing refinement — User feedback will shape additional features to add.

📝 Notes on Use and Limitations

- Volume data: if the symbol has no volume feed, RedK_VARSI Pro automatically falls back to an unweighted (standard) RSI calculation.
- Context multiplier and available history: at very large multipliers the resulting Context timeframe may exceed the history available for some symbols, in which case the Context TF plot won't show. That's a data-availability limit, not an error.
- Every effort has been made to provide a professional level indicator - e.g., useful insights, no-clutter, clean indicator status bar and a useful "data window" - If you notice any issues in that regard, please alert me directly.
- This is an insight tool, not a signal service. The markers and alerts describe price action readings. They are not advice to enter or exit any position, and the indicator does not claim predictive accuracy.
