[blackcat] L1 Multi-Oscillator Trend Navigator

1 069
█ OVERVIEW

The Multi-Oscillator Trend Navigator (MOTN) is a comprehensive technical analysis indicator that combines multiple oscillator signals to identify trend direction, market strength, and optimal entry/exit points. By synthesizing data from price position, stochastic calculations, CCI values across multiple timeframes, and dynamic moving averages, this indicator provides a unified view of market momentum.

█ CONCEPTS

This indicator utilizes a multi-layered oscillator approach to identify trend conditions and potential reversal points.

Key Principles
• Price Position Analysis: Measures where current price sits within a 100-bar range to gauge relative strength
• Multi-Timeframe CCI: Combines CCI values from 21, 24, 34, and 90 periods for comprehensive momentum assessment
• Dynamic Weighting: Adapts signal sensitivity based on volume activity
• Composite Signal Generation: Merges four distinct momentum signals into unified DX and ZX lines

█ HOW TO USE

1 — Add the indicator to your chart from the indicators menu
2 — Observe the DX Line (red) and ZX Line interactions for trend confirmation
3 — Watch for Buy (B) and Sell (S) labels that appear when conditions are met
4 — Monitor the status table in the top-right corner for real-time signal information

Input Parameters
• Weak Market Threshold: Determines the level below which market is considered weak (default: 1.04). Lower values make buy signals more frequent in weak conditions.
• Show Status Table: Toggle the information panel display (default: enabled)
• Show Buy/Sell Labels: Toggle the B/S signal labels on the chart (default: enabled)
• Color Theme: Customize colors for uptrend/downtrend histograms, DX line, signal labels, and reference lines

█ SIGNALS

Visual Elements
• DX Line (Red): Primary momentum oscillator - crossing above 0 or ZX line suggests bullish momentum
• Buy Level (Yellow): Dynamic threshold that adjusts based on market strength (-5 in weak markets, -25 in strong markets)
• Sell Level (Yellow): Appears at 115 when sell conditions are met, otherwise at -35
• Reference Lines: Dashed lines at 0, 80, and 100 levels for orientation

Signal Labels
• B (Green): Buy signal - appears when DX crosses above ZX or 0 while market shows weakness in recent bars
• S (Orange): Sell signal - appears when ZX crosses above DX and ZX is above 60
• GC (Green): Golden Cross - fast DX line crosses above its previous value
• DC (Red): Death Cross - fast DX line crosses below its previous value

Status Table Information
• Current trend direction (Uptrend/Downtrend)
• Real-time DX and ZX values
• Market strength status (Weak/Strong) with numerical value
• Active signal indication (BUY/SELL/None)

█ LIMITATIONS

• Best suited for trending markets; may produce false signals in strongly ranging/choppy conditions
• The 100-bar lookback period requires sufficient historical data for accurate calculations
• Signal effectiveness may vary across different asset classes and timeframes
• Past performance does not guarantee future results - always use with other confirmation tools

█ NOTES

• Default settings are optimized for general market conditions - adjust Weak Market Threshold based on your trading style
• The indicator includes built-in alerts for Buy, Sell, Golden Cross, and Death Cross signals
• For best results, combine with support/resistance analysis and volume confirmation
• Works on any timeframe but recommended for 15-minute charts and above

█ OVERVIEW

A composite trend and momentum navigator that blends four independent
oscillator families into one directional line, then wraps a complete trade
framework around it: position state, ATR based targets and close-confirmed
alerts. Every bar it answers two questions — is short-term pressure building
or fading, and what is the trade state right now?

█ CONCEPTS

The pane plots two lines. DX is the fast composite of price position,
stochastic, CCI and normalised-price components scaled into one number.
ZX is a smoothed DX. Their relative position defines the trend, their
crossings define the signals.

Key principles:
 • DX above ZX means upward pressure, DX below ZX means downward pressure
 • Buy triggers are armed only while the market is weak, so they fire on
recovery instead of on strength that is already exhausted
 • Sell triggers require ZX to be high when it crosses above DX
 • The yellow level lines mark where the current trigger is anchored
 • A position state machine keeps entries, exits and flips mutually exclusive

█ HOW TO USE

1 — Add the script to a separate pane below the chart.
2 — Keep the defaults for a few sessions and watch the dashboard first.
3 — Treat B and S as trade states, not one-off arrows: a B opens
a long state that stays open until an XL, TP or SL label appears.
4 — Read the dashboard before acting; it lists position, last event, entry,
  targets, ATR and remaining cooldown.

Input Parameters
 • Weak Market Threshold (1.04): below this the market counts as weak
 • Sell Confirmation Level (60): ZX must be above it for a sell trigger
 • Mirror Short Trigger: symmetric counterpart of the second buy trigger
 • Cooldown Bars (3): minimum bars between signals, 0 disables it
 • ATR Length / Stop Loss / Take Profit: 14 / 2.0x / 3.0x by default
 • Oscillator Core: lookbacks of the position, stochastic, range
normalisation and the four CCI legs
 • Display: table, labels, histogram, background, label history, label Y
 • Color Theme: every plot colour is user defined

█ FEATURES

 • Trend histogram coloured by the ZX slope
 • DX, ZX, level and reference lines on a single pane
 • Entry labels (B/S), exit labels (XL/XS/TP/SL), DX flip markers
 • Position background shading while a trade state is open
 • Eleven row status dashboard with live values
 • Eleven alert conditions plus four dynamic alert messages
 • All alerts are close confirmed, so they never repaint intrabar

█ SIGNALS

 • B (green, up): long entry — DX crossed above ZX, or above zero,
while the market was weak in the last three bars
 • S (orange, down): short entry — ZX crossed above DX inside the
sell zone, or the mirror trigger fired
 • XL / XS (cross): state closed by an opposite signal
 • TP / SL (cross): state closed by the ATR target or stop
 • DX+ / DX-: DX flipped up or down versus its previous value

█ IMPLEMENTATION NOTES

Written in Pine v6. Four oscillator families are normalised and combined;
ta.crossover and ta.crossunder provide edge detection; the position is kept
in a var int so a bar can change it at most once. Take profit and stop loss
are frozen at entry from ta.atr and shown in the Data Window, because a price
scale does not belong to this pane. No request.security call is used, so
there is no higher timeframe lookahead.

█ LIMITATIONS

 • Built for liquid, continuous markets; thin symbols give noisy levels
 • Absolute DX and ZX values are not comparable across symbols — read them
  relative to each other
 • Signals confirm on bar close; intrabar labels can still move
 • A fixed ATR multiple is a starting point, not an optimum per instrument
 • No volume profile, no session logic, no multi-timeframe filter

█ NOTES

 • V2 keeps the original V1 oscillator maths untouched; only governance,
risk and presentation layers were added
 • Every new module can be switched off to recover near-V1 behaviour
 • Credit to the original blackcat indicator family for the core idea
