Then analyzing the options chain and the chart patterns of EBAY prior to the earnings report this week,
I would consider purchasing the 40usd strike price Puts with
an expiration date of 2023-12-15,
for a premium of approximately $1.65.
If these options prove to be profitable prior to the earnings release, I would sell at least half of them.

Trade geschlossen: Ziel wurde erreicht
EBAY reached $37.33 after the earnings release and the puts were for sure profitable at that point, but I haven`t monitored the options chain. Perhaps a 2X gain based on the price action and implied volatility.
