Two options:
Option A: Price respected the resistance and continue lower.
Option B: price respecting the resistance initially and fill up at the gap before reversing higher.
Preferred option is to stand aside and see how price react to the gap. Yes the gap was respected currently but the resistance provided another probability that price might want to retrace before deciding the next move.
