XAUUSD Gold’s ATH sell sequence (pink) lost control the moment price accepted above the bearish WCL. That’s the pivot that changes the conversation.On this 2H
XAUUSD chart, we sold off from ATH in a clean bearish sequence (pink) and printed a bearish WCL (pink box) — the spot where sellers had the best “defend and continue” opportunity. Price held above it instead, which signals the bearish delivery isn’t being defended the way it should be.From the C of the pink sequence, price built a bullish sequence (green) and we’re now trading inside the green C target zone. For me, that makes this area a decision point — where continuation must be earned, not assumed.
Structure also stacks: from the BC of the green sequence, another bullish sequence (black) kicked off, projecting a C target at ~5600–5800 (grey zone). That’s the higher objective if price keeps respecting the bullish path.
What I’m watching (no predictions):
- Continuation: Hold inside/above the green C zone, then show MSS / impulsive expansion. If that prints, I’m framing rotations higher toward the black C target (5600–5800), managing around any obvious liquidity shelves.
- Reaction / pullback: If we get a hard rejection from the green zone (wicks + displacement down), I’m watching for a retrace toward the green WCL area to rebalance before the next attempt.
Invalidation / caution:
- A sustained push back below the reclaimed bearish WCL, especially with bearish displacement, weakens the “WCL failure” read.
- Losing the B supporting the black sequence also removes the “earned” path to 5600–5800.
Volatility note: Current geopolitical escalation can speed up delivery, but I’m still letting structure confirm the move rather than trading headlines.
