HIGH-IMPACT CPI: GOLD SCALPING SETUP TODAY

157
Gold remains under bearish pressure after breaking below the previous intraday structure. Today's recovery appears corrective rather than impulsive, with price approaching the 4020–4070 supply zone, where sellers may look to regain control.

The main focus for the US session is the US CPI release, one of the week's most important macro events. Inflation data is likely to trigger significant volatility. A weaker-than-expected CPI could support a deeper recovery, while stronger inflation may reinforce USD strength and renew selling pressure on gold.

☑️ Primary Scenario – Sell the Recovery

Watch for bearish confirmation within the 4020–4070 supply zone.
Rejection from supply or the nearby FVG offers potential short entries.
Target: Return toward the recent lows.

☑️ Alternative Scenario – Bullish Breakout

If gold closes decisively above 4070, the recovery may extend.
The next upside objective is the 4100–4105 liquidity gap, where fresh selling interest could emerge.

Gold reacted exactly as expected after the US CPI release.

The bullish momentum extended into the 4104 gap, where price tapped the planned sell zone before reversing sharply. Although the gap has not been completely filled, sellers quickly regained control, driving gold back toward 403X and delivering nearly 800 pips from the resistance area.
