XAUUSD has just delivered a strong bullish move and broken decisively above a resistance zone that had repeatedly capped price before. The breakout came with a large-bodied candle, showing that buyers are not only in control but are also pushing the market higher with clear momentum.
What stands out is that before the breakout, price consistently held above the ascending trendline and formed a series of higher lows. This suggests that buying pressure had been building for some time, while the current surge is the result of buyers steadily absorbing selling pressure.
If the broken resistance zone successfully turns into support, I expect XAUUSD to maintain its bullish momentum and move toward the 4,164 area. On the other hand, if price quickly falls back below the breakout zone, buying momentum will weaken and the market may return to test the trendline below.
