Orderflow Pressure Engine

Orderflow Pressure Engine (OPE) v1.0

Orderflow Pressure Engine (OPE) is a multi-factor TradingView indicator designed to detect when buying pressure or selling pressure is weakening before a meaningful reversal or momentum shift becomes obvious in price.

Instead of relying on standard oscillators such as RSI or MACD, OPE focuses on market-mechanic concepts: volume imbalance, wave-based participation, effort versus result, market structure shifts, and liquidity sweeps.

Core idea

Strong trends rarely fail without leaving traces.
Before a move loses control, the market often shows signs such as:

price advancing while underlying pressure weakens
rising effort with poor result
weaker participation on follow-up waves
structural breaks after exhaustion
failed breakouts and liquidity grabs

OPE combines these signals into a unified scoring model to highlight moments where one side of the market is likely losing control.

What the indicator analyzes

1. Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) approximation
OPE builds an internal delta model using price position inside the candle range and accumulates it into a CVD-style series. It then checks for bullish and bearish divergences between price and delta across short and long lookback windows.

Example:

Price makes a higher move, but CVD weakens → buying pressure may be fading
Price pushes lower, but CVD improves → selling pressure may be fading

2. Weis Wave Volume logic
The script groups volume into directional waves and compares current impulse volume with previous same-direction waves.
When follow-up waves show noticeably lower participation, OPE interprets this as a sign of exhaustion.

Example:

Up wave 2 has clearly less volume than up wave 1 → bullish momentum is weakening
Down wave 2 has less volume than down wave 1 → bearish momentum is weakening

3. VSA / Effort vs Result
OPE evaluates the relationship between volume and candle spread.

It detects:

Absorption: high effort, low result
Climax / exhaustion: high effort, large spread near contextual extremes

This helps identify moments where aggressive activity is being absorbed or where a move may be ending in exhaustion.

4. Market Structure Shift (MSS)
The indicator tracks confirmed swing highs and lows and flags breaks of structure that suggest control is changing hands.

Example:

Break below a recent swing low after an uptrend → buyers may be losing control
Break above a recent swing high after a downtrend → sellers may be losing control

5. Liquidity Sweeps
OPE detects failed breakouts above or below prior swing levels.

Example:

Price runs above a swing high but closes back below it → bearish sweep
Price flushes below a swing low but closes back above it → bullish sweep

These events often signal stop-runs, trap moves, and potential reversal zones.

Scoring model

Each module contributes points to a bullish or bearish pressure-loss score.

The result is a directional framework that separates:

normal signals
strong signals
contextual background pressure

This makes the indicator useful not only for entries, but also for reading internal market condition.

Visual features

OPE includes:

bullish and bearish signal labels
strong signal markers
optional background pressure shading
MSS markers
liquidity sweep markers
VSA candle coloring
dashboard with live score breakdown
optional debug pane for internal components
How to interpret signals

Bullish signal
Means selling pressure is likely fading.
This does not simply mean “price is oversold.”
It means the script has found evidence that sellers are losing efficiency, follow-through, structure, or liquidity control.

Bearish signal
Means buying pressure is likely fading.
This suggests that buyers may be losing aggression, absorption may be present, or structure/liquidity behavior is turning against continuation.

Strong signals
Appear when multiple independent modules align.
These are intended to represent higher-conviction setups than isolated events.

Best use cases

OPE is best used for:

reversal setup detection
momentum fade analysis
exhaustion spotting
liquidity grab confirmation
market structure-based discretionary trading
confluence with supply/demand, support/resistance, or higher-timeframe bias
Important note

This indicator uses approximations of orderflow concepts because TradingView does not provide full bid/ask footprint data in standard Pine Script.
It is designed to model pressure behavior as closely as possible using candle structure, volume, and market structure.

It should not be treated as a standalone “predictive machine,” but as a high-context decision-support tool.

Summary

Orderflow Pressure Engine is built for traders who want something more structural and informative than conventional momentum indicators.
It aims to identify when pressure is no longer supporting price action — the moment where continuation becomes fragile and reversal risk rises.

Use it as a framework for reading pressure, exhaustion, and control transfer inside the chart.
