Bollinger Near Lower Band Stats
Bollinger Near Lower Band Stats marks strong green candles whose low gets close to the lower Bollinger Band without breaking the default 2-standard-deviation band, simulates a trade for each signal, and compares the result with signals that did break the 2-standard-deviation band.
Rules (all thresholds are inputs):
- Bollinger Bands length 20. Inner band = basis - 1.5 standard deviations, default band = basis - 2 standard deviations.
- Strong green candle: body >= 60% of the candle range and >= 1.5x the average body of the previous 20 candles.
- Signal: candle low below the inner band but above the default band. Comparison set (x marker): candle low at or below the default band.
Trade simulation:
- Entry at the next candle open, stop loss at the signal candle low, exit at the close of the 20th candle (input) or at the stop. Stop is checked first within a candle.
- Fees of 0.1% per side are deducted in R.
- The panel shows trades, win rate, total R after fees and profit factor for signals, plus trades and total R for the comparison set, for the selected date range.
