Professional Gold Scalping Indicator | EMA + VWAP Rejection Signals | Multi-Timeframe Market Bias

Trade the pullback. Confirm the rejection. Follow the trend. 📈

XAUUSD Traffic Lights V33 is a multi-confluence trading indicator designed specifically for Gold (XAUUSD), combining trend-following analysis, precise candlestick entry conditions, market momentum and higher-timeframe confirmation into one streamlined trading system.

Built primarily for 1-minute and 5-minute scalping, the indicator helps traders identify potential high-quality entries while understanding the broader market direction.

Rather than relying on a single indicator, Traffic Lights V33 brings together multiple technical and macroeconomic measurements to deliver a clearer picture of market conditions.

🚦 1. THE EMA TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM

The foundation of the strategy is three exponential moving averages:

🟢 50 EMA — Green: Shorter-term trend direction
🟠 100 EMA — Orange: Intermediate trend confirmation
🔴 200 EMA — Red: Broader trend structure

When the EMAs are correctly aligned, separated and moving in the same direction, they can indicate an established bullish or bearish trend.

When they become tightly grouped, cross repeatedly or flatten, the market may be entering consolidation.

A purple session VWAP provides an additional dynamic price reference for potential support, resistance and rejection entries.

🎯 2. PRECISION BUY & SELL SIGNALS

The indicator focuses on a strict two-candle pullback-and-rejection strategy, rather than generating signals from every momentum candle.

🟢 BUY SETUP

A valid bullish EMA structure must be present. A substantial bearish candle then pulls back towards an EMA or VWAP, followed immediately by a bullish rejection doji.

Both candles must respect the selected level with their closing prices, while the rejection candle must demonstrate an appropriately sized lower wick.

🔴 SELL SETUP

The opposite conditions apply: bearish EMA alignment, a substantial bullish pullback candle and an immediately following bearish rejection doji with a qualifying upper wick.

Additional checks include:
• EMA separation and direction.
• Pullback candle body size relative to volatility (ATR).
• Previous-candle volume confirmation.
• Wick structure and proximity to the selected EMA or VWAP.
• Entry distance from the selected level.
• Optional Stochastic RSI confirmation.

Signals are confirmed when the rejection candle closes, helping avoid entries based on unfinished candlestick patterns.

Entry signals are designed for the 1-minute and 5-minute charts.

⭐ 3. STRONG & REVIEW TRADE CLASSIFICATION

Not every valid entry occurs under equally favourable trend conditions.

Traffic Lights V33 classifies signals into two categories:

✅ STRONG: The entry satisfies the core setup and additional trend-quality requirements, including stronger EMA spacing, slope and optional ADX confirmation.

🔎 REVIEW: The entry satisfies the original setup but does not meet every additional trend-strength requirement.

This approach allows traders to examine potential opportunities without automatically hiding setups that occur in less strongly trending conditions.

These classifications describe technical conditions, not guaranteed trade outcomes.

📊 4. SMART MULTI-TIMEFRAME TREND DASHBOARD

A compact dashboard in the bottom-right corner provides an immediate overview of XAUUSD market direction.

It displays four readings:

🌍 OVERALL / DAY — Broader daily directional bias
⏱ 15 MIN — Higher-timeframe intraday trend
⏱ 5 MIN — Short-term trading direction
⚡ 1 MIN — Immediate price-action direction

Each timeframe includes:
• Direction: BULLISH, BEARISH or RANGING.
• Strength: STRONG, WEAK or NEUTRAL, with a score out of 10.
• Age: How many consecutive completed candles the current classification has persisted, expressed in trading minutes.

The dashboard combines five technical measurements: EMA alignment and spacing, EMA slopes, ADX with directional movement, price positioning with VWAP and RSI, and price-path efficiency.

It uses completed timeframe readings and lower-timeframe data retrieval designed to improve consistency when switching between chart timeframes.

🌍 5. ADVANCED OVERALL DAILY BIAS

Beyond chart-based trend analysis, the OVERALL reading incorporates additional context that can influence gold prices.

These measurements include:

📈 Daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and shorter-timeframe price trends.
💵 US Dollar Index (DXY) — Including 15-minute and hourly direction.
🏦 US 10-year Treasury yields — Additional interest-rate context.
📑 Commitment of Traders (COT) — Weekly COMEX gold managed-money positioning, where available.
📍 Previous-day highs and lows, daily opening levels and price structure.
🌏 Asian-session range and potential directional breakouts.

DXY and yield readings are treated as supporting evidence rather than absolute predictors, since their relationships with gold can change.

The indicator also supports a manually configured high-impact news-event warning. It does not automatically retrieve or interpret live economic-calendar announcements.

The overall daily bias updates as new market information becomes available, with the most frequent intraday updates on the 1-minute chart.

📏 6. CUSTOMISABLE 60-PIP PRICE LEVELS

Two live horizontal reference lines display a configurable distance above and below the current price.

By default, the indicator uses a gold pip convention of $0.10 per pip, making 60 pips equivalent to a $6.00 movement.

Their colours respond to the EMA trend alignment, providing a simple visual reference for potential price movement in either direction.

These are reference levels, not automatic take-profit or stop-loss orders.

🔔 7. TRADINGVIEW ALERTS

Built-in alert conditions support BUY, SELL, STRONG BUY, STRONG SELL, REVIEW BUY, REVIEW SELL and combined BUY/SELL notifications.

Alerts can be configured in TradingView to provide on-screen, mobile or audible notifications when a qualifying signal is confirmed.
