Gold Shows Weak Bounce – Rounded Top Signals Downside

404
Gold price action is beginning to show signs of weakness within the current local bounce, with momentum fading as price approaches a key technical level. The recent rejection is forming a rounded top structure near the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, indicating that buyers may be losing control at this stage.

This type of formation often reflects distribution, where upside attempts are gradually absorbed by selling pressure. The inability to push higher from this region suggests that the current bounce may be corrective rather than the start of a new bullish leg.

As price begins to roll over from this resistance zone, attention now shifts to the current local low, which is acting as a key support level. This level is critical in determining the next directional move.

If gold breaks below this support, it would confirm the weakness in structure and open the probability of a deeper corrective move. In this scenario, price could extend toward the $3,950 region, aligning with a broader pullback within the higher timeframe trend.

Until a stronger reclaim of resistance occurs, the short-term bias remains cautious, with downside continuation becoming increasingly likely.
