GLD/GC + SLV/SL

GLD/GC + SLV/SL projects round-number levels from the US-listed GLD and SLV ETFs onto their corresponding metals futures charts. It provides one consistent level display for standard and micro contracts.
SUPPORTED INSTRUMENTS
• GC and MGC: GLD levels projected onto Gold and Micro Gold futures.
• SI and SIL: SLV levels projected onto Silver and Micro Silver futures.
• GLD and SLV: native ETF levels without conversion.
“SL” in the publication title is a silver label. The supported silver futures roots are SI and SIL; SIL is Micro Silver futures, not the unrelated stock ETF with that ticker.
HOW THE CONVERSION WORKS
Projected futures price = ETF level × calibrated futures/ETF ratio.
The script pairs completed five-minute futures and ETF closes by their exact bar timestamps. It accepts pairs from the ETF regular session, 09:30–16:00 America/New_York. It does not pair the latest futures quote with an unmatched or stale ETF quote merely because both values are available.
On continuous futures charts, automatic calibration uses the current dated contract reported by TradingView. It therefore calibrates to that contract's history rather than combining different delivery contracts. Automatic mapping is disabled if the current contract cannot be identified.
TWO CALIBRATION MODES
• Live paired ratio: the median of the latest paired samples from the ETF session. Defaults are six median samples and a minimum of three paired samples before an update. Outside ETF hours, the last usable ratio is held. Projected levels can move when calibration updates.
• Previous ETF session (frozen): a median from the previous available ETF regular session, adopted at the 18:00 New York futures-session transition and held intraday. Before the first anchor is available, the script uses available live samples and displays a WARMUP message. This mode holds an observed ratio; it does not extrapolate financing or fair value.
A manual positive ratio is also available and is explicitly identified in diagnostics.
DISPLAY AND SETTINGS
The default GLD grid uses $1 steps with a major level every $5. The SLV grid uses $0.50 steps with a major level every $1. Major lines are solid; minor lines are dashed. Colors, visibility, line widths, level count and label presentation are configurable. The chart instrument selects the appropriate ETF automatically.
Labels show the original ETF price. An optional setting adds the converted futures price. Label spacing can displace text with a connector while keeping the price line at its calculated level.
CALIBRATION CONTEXT AND DATA
Calibration and grid centering use ordinary five-minute market data independently of synthetic chart candles. The script is designed for standard and Heikin Ashi charts from 1 to 60 minutes and for Range charts. Visual checks for this release covered GC1!, MGC1! and SIL1! on one-minute candles, plus SIL1! on 40 Range. Other chart variants have not been individually validated.
Diagnostics show the mapping, ratio, latest paired sample, anchor and dated futures price leg. Feed permissions, missing history, different feed delays and limited retained samples can delay or prevent calibration. Automatic levels are hidden after the configured age limit, four calendar days by default. This age limit is not a guarantee of quote freshness.
LIMITATIONS
These are model-derived price conversions, not measured options positions, GEX, order flow or evidence of trading profitability. ETF and futures prices can diverge, and a ratio held outside ETF hours can become less representative. The script displays the current projected grid across the chart; it does not preserve an archive of the levels that were available at every historical bar. Historical touches of today's projected lines are not a backtest.
CREDITS
The reusable line and label layout was adapted from the author's QQQ/SPY + NDX/SPX Convergence indicator, whose price-converter presentation was inspired by PtGambler's QQQ NDX NQ and SPY SPX ES converters. This metals version uses timestamp-paired ETF/futures ratios without the equity-index carry model. The source retains its Mozilla Public License 2.0 notice.

Notas de prensa
Fixed native GLD and SLV chart detection for the BATS/Cboe fallback feed and delayed exchange-prefix aliases. GLD and SLV charts now display their own ETF round-price levels with a 1:1 identity mapping. No futures conversion ratio is applied to native ETF levels. Futures mappings and calibration settings are unchanged.Verified directly on BATS:GLD and BATS:SLV one-minute charts after the fix. GC/MGC and SI/SIL continue to use the corresponding GLD/SLV conversion path. The existing publication name remains GLD/GC + SLV/SL.
Notas de prensa
Added a default $0.25 SLV grid for native SLV, SI and SIL charts. The intermediate .25 and .75 levels are dotted and use 20% visibility by default; their labels and spacing connectors are also subdued. Half-dollar levels retain normal dashed styling and whole-dollar major levels remain solid.A new "Quarter-dollar visibility (%)" setting controls the intermediate quarter levels independently, capped at the main SLV visibility. This styling is classified using the original SLV price before conversion, so the same hierarchy applies on Silver and Micro Silver futures. Gold settings and the ETF/futures calibration are unchanged.
