Is the gold bull run about to restart?

93
From the previous trading day's daily chart, gold formed a bullish hammer candlestick with a long lower shadow, issuing a reliable bottom reversal signal in the oversold zone. The asset rebounded after a pullback, supported by the lower trendline of a large symmetrical triangle pattern; the core support area has been firmly consolidated, effectively suppressing further downward momentum.

Against the backdrop of month-end portfolio rebalancing, institutional funds tend to favor a bullish pullback. However, multiple resistance levels above will trigger cyclical consolidation during the rebound—this rally has not yet evolved into a strong bullish trend, but merely a short-term pullback after a mild rise. For a decisive bullish breakout, the price needs to hold above the short-term moving average and reclaim key breakout levels. Near-term support is in the $4480-$4490 range.

The macro timeframe remains in a long-term downtrend, and intraday price fluctuations are also range-bound. For traders, it is recommended to reduce overtrading and aim for swing trading rather than short-term trading to optimize the risk-reward ratio.

Regarding entry points: Buying on dips is recommended at 4450-4460 and 4410-4420. Selling on rallies is recommended at 4540-4550 (core short entry point) and 4570-4580.

Overall, the intraday trading strategy primarily focuses on selling on rallies, with buying on dips as a secondary strategy. Recent resistance levels: 4465-4470; Key support levels: 4450-4480.

Trading Strategies

1. Short Selling Strategy: Launch bulk short positions in the 4540-4550 range. If the price rises to 4570-4580, add to the short position.

2. Long Strategy: Launch bulk long positions in the 4450-4460 range. If the price falls to 4410-4420, add to the long position.
