The S&P appears to be in the process of forming a potential Head and Shoulders pattern. While the structure is not yet confirmed, the current price action suggests an increased probability that a near-term top may be in place, with a corrective phase likely to follow. In the immediate short term, however, price could still push higher to complete the formation of the right shoulder.

Note that price does not necessarily have to go up to complete the right shoulder, we can argue that there is already a right shoulder in the price action in March. However, the overall thesis of price going lower is whats important
