Strategy Overview: Tried & True Composite Strategy (Filtered Zero Cross)
The Tried & True Composite Strategy (Filtered) is a multi-indicator quantitative trading model built for Pine Script v6. It combines five classic technical indicators—EMA, RSI, MACD, Stochastic Oscillator, Bollinger Bands, and On-Balance Volume (OBV)—into a unified composite score to generate precise trend-following and momentum trade signals while filtering out market noise.

Key Features & Components
Composite Signal Generation:

Combines momentum (RSI, Stochastic), trend (EMA Cross, MACD), volatility (Bollinger Bands), and volume (OBV) into a single composite metric.

Leverages a filtered zero-line cross mechanism to filter out low-conviction signals and reduce false breakouts in range-bound markets.

Core Technical Indicators Used:

Moving Averages (EMA): Fast (50-period) and Slow (200-period) Exponential Moving Averages to establish macro trend direction.

RSI (14-period): Measures momentum and overbought/oversold conditions.

MACD (12, 26, 9): Identifies directional shifts and momentum acceleration.

Stochastic Oscillator (14, 3, 3): Gauges cyclical turning points and short-term exhaustion.

Bollinger Bands (20-period, 2.0 StDev): Measures dynamic volatility expansion and compression.

OBV (20-period EMA): Validates price movement through institutional volume confirmation.

Dynamic ATR Risk Management (Optional):

Stop Loss: Set at a multiple of the Average True Range (default: 1.5x ATR) below/above the entry price.

Take Profit: Dynamic profit targets set using an ATR multiplier (default: 3.0x ATR), offering a built-in 1:2 risk-to-reward profile.

Visual Feedback:

Background Tinting: Dynamically colors the chart background green when composite momentum is strongly bullish (> 50) and red when strongly bearish (< -50) for fast visual assessment.
