ABC Pattern Pro

Hello Traders!
ABC corrections (also known as 1-2-3 patterns, swing retracements, or three-point pullbacks) are one of the most frequent and tradeable structures in any market. ABC Pattern Pro automatically detects these Fibonacci-validated correction patterns for both long and short setups, marks the entry bar with a visual signal, and provides structured stop loss and target levels directly on your chart.
Strategy
The ABC pattern is a three-point correction structure: an impulsive move (A to B), a Fibonacci retracement (B to C), and a continuation in the original direction. This is the same structure traders know as the 1-2-3 reversal, the swing pullback entry, or the corrective wave in Elliott Wave theory.
The trading strategy is straightforward:
The indicator validates every pattern against Fibonacci retracement criteria and optionally filters for time symmetry between the impulse and correction legs. This ensures you're only trading well-formed corrections with defined risk, not chasing random swing points.

Key Features
Dual-Layer Detection
Run two independent detection layers simultaneously with different swing sizes. The smaller size captures short-term ABC patterns, while the larger size identifies broader correction structures. Both layers operate concurrently, each with its own color scheme, so you can see patterns forming across multiple scales at once.
Fibonacci Retracement Validation
Every detected pattern is validated against a configurable Fibonacci retracement range. The C point must retrace a defined percentage of the AB leg — by default between 50% and 88.6%. The nearest Fibonacci level (38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%, or 88.6%) is displayed at point C, giving you immediate context for the depth of the correction.
Entry Signal Markers
A triangle marker appears below (long) or above (short) the bar that confirms the entry condition. This gives you a clear, unambiguous visual signal that the pattern is ready to trade on the next bar's open.
Time Symmetry Filter
An optional filter ensures that the BC leg duration is proportionate to the AB leg duration. This removes patterns where the correction takes disproportionately long or short relative to the impulse move, improving overall pattern quality.
Flexible Entry Methods
Choose between two entry methods:
Three Target Calculation Methods
Built-In Trade Statistics
A statistics table tracks every pattern outcome historically — showing total occurrences, win rate, loss rate, expired trades, and cumulative R for both long and short directions. Use this to evaluate how the indicator performs on your preferred instrument and timeframe before committing real capital.

How to Use ABC Pattern Pro
When the indicator detects a valid ABC pattern, it draws the A-B-C structure with connecting lines and a filled triangle on the chart. An entry line extends from point C showing where the entry level sits. Once the entry condition is met, a triangle marker appears on the bar confirming the signal, and the indicator draws entry, stop loss, and target levels that extend and track the trade outcome.
Start with the default settings (Size 1: 7, Size 2: 14) and observe the patterns detected on your chart. If you trade smaller timeframes and want more frequent patterns, reduce the swing sizes. For higher timeframe swing trading, increase them.
The stop loss is placed at point A — the origin of the impulse move. If price returns to A, the ABC structure is invalidated. Select a target method that fits your style: Fixed Risk Reward for simplicity, AB Projection for measured-move trading, or Reciprocal Ratio for Fibonacci-based targeting.
Check the statistics table to understand the historical performance profile on your specific instrument and timeframe before adjusting parameters.

What Makes This Different
Unlike basic zigzag or ABC indicators that simply connect swing points, this indicator applies a structured validation framework to every pattern. The Fibonacci retracement range filter, time symmetry analysis, and multi-layer detection work together to reduce false positives and surface only patterns that meet defined quality criteria. The built-in trade management with three distinct target methods and live statistics tracking turns pattern detection into a complete analytical process — from identification through execution to outcome measurement.
Key Settings
All visual elements (colors, line styles, widths, fill transparency) are fully customizable.
ABC Pattern Pro provides a structured, repeatable framework for trading ABC corrections, 1-2-3 reversals, and Fibonacci swing retracements across all markets and timeframes.

- Retracement Entry: Triggers when price retraces a configurable percentage of the BC leg from C back toward B. Provides earlier entries while the correction is resolving.
- Bar Confirmation: Triggers when price closes beyond the high (for longs) or low (for shorts) of the bar where point C was confirmed. Provides more conservative, momentum-confirmed entries.
Three Target Calculation Methods
- Fixed Risk Reward: Set a fixed risk-to-reward ratio applied to the distance between entry and stop loss.
- AB Projection: Project a percentage of the AB leg from point C as the target. 100% replays the full impulse leg.
- Reciprocal Ratio: The target is automatically calculated based on the Fibonacci depth of point C — deeper retracements produce more conservative targets, shallower retracements produce more ambitious targets.

Key Settings
- Size 1 / Size 2 — Swing sizes for pattern detection. Smaller values detect smaller, more frequent patterns. Larger values detect broader structures. Default: 7 / 14
- Retracement Min / Max — The valid Fibonacci retracement range for point C relative to the AB leg. Default: 50% – 88.6%
- Time Symmetry — When enabled, filters out patterns where the BC duration is disproportionate to AB. Default: Off
