Trend Enjoyer

Trend Enjoyer is a simple trend-following rule built on a single simple moving average. It shows whether price is in a bull or bear trend and alerts you when the trend flips. It does not backtest or place trades. It is for visuals and alerts only.

What sets it apart from a plain MA: separate entry and exit bands, separate bull and bear confirmation counts, closed-bar-only logic that never repaints, and a live status label showing pending confirmations.

How the rule works
The trend flips BULL when price closes above the upper band for the required number of closed bars and flips BEAR when price closes below the lower band for the required number of closed bars. Only closed bars count, so the live bar never changes the state.

Settings
• MA length: the simple moving average length, in the chart’s own bars (default 50). Works on any timeframe.
• Upper band % / Lower band %: how far above or below the MA a close must be to count toward a flip (default 0%, meaning the MA itself).
• Bull / Bear confirmation: how many consecutive closed bars beyond the band are needed to flip (default 1).

On the chart
• MA line and dashed band lines (bands appear only when set above 0%).
• Green/red background shading for bull/bear state.
• BULL and BEAR labels where the state flips.
• A yellow START label on the first bar with enough history for the MA, where the starting state is set without a flip.
• A status label showing the current state, any pending confirmation count, and price distance from the MA.

Alerts
Three alert conditions: flip to BULL, flip to BEAR, and any flip. Alerts fire only on closed bars. Set the trigger to “Once per bar close.”
