Break Even (BE) Alert

Break Even (BE) Alert & Profit Target Visualizer
Overview
This indicator is designed for traders whose brokers do not support automatic "Move to Break Even" functionality within the TradingView interface. It provides a clear visual target on your chart and triggers a real-time alert once your trade reaches a specific profit threshold (measured in ticks), signaling that it is time to manually adjust your stop loss to break even.
Key Features
Dynamic Visual Target: Draws a clear, dashed horizontal line at your specified profit goal.
Editable Tick Offset: Easily adjust the "BE Trigger" distance (e.g., 200 ticks) directly from the settings menu.
Bidirectional Support: Works for both Long and Short positions with a simple toggle.
Real-Time Alerts: Includes a built-in alert condition that fires the moment price crosses your target level, ensuring you never miss the window to protect your capital.
How to Use
Input Entry: Once you have placed a trade, open the indicator settings and enter your Entry Price.
Set Direction: Select whether you are in a Long or Short position.
Define Goal: Set your preferred Tick Target (e.g., 200).
Activate Alert: Create a new alert on your chart, select this indicator, and choose the "Move Stop to BE" condition.
Why use this?
Managing risk is the most critical part of trading. This tool removes the guesswork and constant chart-watching by automating the notification process for capital protection, allowing you to focus on finding the next setup while your current trade is monitored for its "safety" trigger.
