Tape + Delta Flow

Tape + Delta Flow

Order flow you can read at a glance. This indicator tracks volume delta (aggressive buying minus aggressive selling) and turns it into a clear picture of who’s in control: buyers, sellers, or nobody.

Know your trend without second-guessing it
When delta is pushing one way, everything agrees. The dashboard, the tape and your candles all turn green or red together. You don’t have to work out whether you’re in a trend; the chart tells you.

Gray means pay attention
When delta loses direction, the background turns gray. That’s a market with no flow edge, and it often comes before a move. Gray can switch on and off as large players quietly build or unload positions (accumulation or distribution) without moving price. Treat a gray stretch as a warning to get ready, not a reason to relax.

The Signals

▲ / ▼ Building: delta is expanding in the direction of the flow.
✕ Waning: the flow is fading. Tighten stops and stop adding.
White arrows, Emerging: strong delta is pushing against the existing flow. This is an early warning of a possible reversal.
■ Absorption: heavy buying or selling, but the bar closes the other way. Someone passive soaked up the aggression. Watch these closely; they often show where big money is defending a level.
DIV: price makes a new high or low but cumulative delta (CVD) doesn’t follow. A word of caution: big money likes to turn on divergences, but it doesn’t always. A divergence can hold, or it can get run over. Wait for confirmation.

The Tape

A live time-and-sales feed in two styles: a classic tape box, or a ticker that scrolls along the bottom of the chart. Large prints are detected automatically and highlighted.
Tip: use “Hide prints smaller than” to filter out single-contract prints. They don’t move price, and removing them leaves the orders that matter. Hidden prints still count toward the delta.

Optional Scrolling Ticker Tape drop down option, which will run at the bottom the chart, using less room.

The Dashboard

Current delta state, with a plain-English action line, for example “Buyers fading · tighten longs, no new longs”.
Delta pressure versus its recent average, and whether it’s speeding up or slowing down.
Bar delta, rolling delta, and session CVD.
How many bars the current state has lasted, and the last signal.
Live tape delta, a bar-close countdown, and a count of large buy and sell prints.

Options

Delta is built from lower-timeframe data (1S, 5S, 10S, 15S, 30S, 1m up to 60m), so it works on chart history as well as live.
Signals print on bar close only, so they don’t repaint. This can be turned off.
Candles colored by delta state, which can be turned off.
Tape box or scrolling ticker, with any position, line count, entry direction, and full-width equal boxes.

Clock in your own timezone, exchange time, or a custom zone.
Whole-contract volume, with optional decimals and K/M shortening for crypto and stocks.
Large prints flagged at N× the average print size, or at a fixed size.
Every color can be changed. Each marker type can be shown or hidden.
Tunable thresholds for building, trendless and chop, plus divergence lookback and absorption strength.
Alerts for every signal, plus an optional alert on each large print.
