🚀 **Adaptive MACD Context Engine — Smarter MACD Momentum With Context**
**Tip:** From my own testing, Adaptive MACD CE currently works best on the **5-minute timeframe**, especially for active stocks and momentum names.
That said, every market, ticker, and trading style is different. Always test the indicator, settings, and timeframe yourself.
Adaptive MACD Context Engine is a modern MACD-based momentum tool built for traders who want more context than a standard MACD crossover.
Classic MACD can be useful, but it often gives signals without showing whether the broader setup is actually supportive.
Adaptive MACD CE adds context around momentum, trend, volume, VWAP, ADX, RSI, and risk zones to help traders better understand when momentum is cleaner — and when caution may be needed.
Clean MACD view.
Context-based signals.
Less blind MACD chasing.

⚡ **WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Most MACD indicators focus mainly on simple events:
• MACD crosses the Signal line
• MACD crosses the zero line
• histogram changes direction
That can be helpful, but it can also create many weak or late signals.
Adaptive MACD CE is different because it does not treat every MACD move the same.
It adds a context layer around the MACD so traders can see whether momentum is supported by stronger market conditions.
The indicator considers things like:
• trend direction
• volume participation
• VWAP position
• ADX strength
• RSI extension
• recent bearish pressure
• higher-risk zones
• momentum quality
The goal is to make MACD signals more selective, more visual, and easier to interpret.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⚡ **THUNDER SIGNALS**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The Thunder signals are the main highlight of Adaptive MACD CE.
They are designed to separate stronger momentum conditions from weaker or more risky MACD movement.
The signal hierarchy is simple:
🟢 **Green Thunder — most selective Thunder signal**
Green Thunder is designed to highlight the cleanest momentum expansion conditions in the indicator.
It appears when momentum is improving strongly and the surrounding context is more supportive.
This is the Thunder signal that should generally receive the most attention.
🟡 **Yellow Thunder — confirmed Thunder signal**
Yellow Thunder marks a confirmed Thunder-style momentum setup.
It can be useful when MACD momentum, candle behavior, VWAP context, and risk filters are aligned, but it is not as selective as Green Thunder.
🟠 **Orange Thunder — caution Thunder signal**
Orange Thunder means a Thunder-style setup exists, but the confirmation is weaker or the context is less clean.
Orange Thunder does not automatically mean the setup is bad, but it should be treated as more risky and should require extra confirmation from price action, volume, and market context.
The Thunder system is not designed to show every MACD move.
It is designed to help traders quickly distinguish between cleaner momentum signals and more cautious momentum signals.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📊 **BULL SCORE & BEAR SCORE**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Adaptive MACD CE includes a simple Bull Score and Bear Score in the dashboard.
These numbers summarize how much current context supports bullish or bearish momentum.
🟢 **Bull Score**
Shows how strongly the current setup supports bullish momentum.
🔴 **Bear Score**
Shows how strongly the current setup supports bearish momentum.
A higher score means more conditions are aligning in that direction.
Simple guide:
• **Below 60** = weak or unclear context
• **60–69** = improving context, but not strong yet
• **70–79** = strong context
• **80+** = very strong context
For example:
• Bull Score above 70 = bullish context is becoming strong
• Bull Score above 80 = bullish context is very strong
• Bear Score above 70 = bearish context is becoming strong
• Bear Score above 80 = bearish context is very strong
• Both scores low = weak or unclear market context
• Both scores elevated = mixed / conflicting context
The scores are not automatic buy or sell signals.
They are designed to help traders understand whether the current MACD movement has enough supporting context behind it.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📊 **BULLISH & BEARISH SIGNALS**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Adaptive MACD CE also includes simpler signal markers:
🟢 **Bullish Icon**
Shows bullish MACD context when the setup passes the selected filters.
🟢 **Strong Bullish Icon**
Shows a stronger bullish condition with additional trend confirmation.
🔴 **Bearish Icon**
Shows bearish MACD context.
❌ **Strong Bearish Icon**
Highlights stronger bearish pressure.
⚑ **Weak / Avoid Icon**
Marks weaker MACD movement where the context is not strong enough.
These icons are designed to make the MACD pane easier to read without relying only on line crosses.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📈 **CONTEXT DASHBOARD**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The dashboard summarizes the current market context in a compact way.
It can show:
• Bull Score
• Bear Score
• Trend State
• Volume State
• VWAP / ADX State
• Zone Status
• Recent Danger Status
• Thunder Status
• Green Thunder Status
• Current Recommendation
The dashboard helps explain why a signal appears — or why a potential setup is being blocked.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🧠 **SIMPLE WORKFLOW**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A possible workflow could be:
1️⃣ Start on the 5-minute timeframe
2️⃣ Check if the ticker has strong volume and momentum
3️⃣ Watch for Green Thunder, Yellow Thunder, or Strong Bullish signals
4️⃣ Treat Orange Thunder as a more cautious setup
5️⃣ Confirm that VWAP, ADX, RSI, and zone context are supportive
6️⃣ Check whether Bull Score or Bear Score supports the direction
7️⃣ Avoid signals when the dashboard shows weak or blocked context
8️⃣ Manage risk with your own stop-loss, take-profit, and position sizing plan
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🎯 **WHY USE THIS INSTEAD OF A BASIC MACD?**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A basic MACD shows momentum.
Adaptive MACD CE tries to show momentum **with context**.
That means fewer blind crossover signals and more information about whether the setup has support from trend, volume, VWAP, ADX, RSI, and risk conditions.
It is built for traders who want MACD signals to be more selective, more visual, and easier to understand.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🔔 **ALERTS**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Adaptive MACD CE includes built-in TradingView alert conditions for key events such as:
• Green Thunder Entry
• Thunder Entry
• Bullish Signal
• Strong Bullish Signal
• Bearish Signal
• Strong Bearish Signal
• Weak / Avoid MACD Cross
TradingView alerts must be created manually from the TradingView alert menu.
To receive push, pop-up, email, or webhook notifications, enable those options when creating the alert.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⚠️ **IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER**
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Adaptive MACD CE is a decision-support tool, not a guaranteed trade signal system.
No indicator can predict the market with certainty.
Always combine this tool with:
• proper risk management
• position sizing
• market context
• your own trading plan
• patience and discipline
Signals are context-based momentum readings, not guaranteed entries or exits.

Notes de version
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━🔄 UPDATE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Thunder, bullish, and bearish entry icons have been removed from this version to make the indicator cleaner and more context-focused.
After further review, I decided to reduce visual signals and focus this version on what MACD does best: showing momentum, trend pressure, and changing market context.
This helps avoid over-interpreting individual icons and encourages traders to use the full dashboard context instead of relying on single markers.
The indicator now focuses on:
• MACD momentum
• MACD Histogram behavior
• Bull / Bear Score
• trend context
• volume context
• VWAP / ADX confirmation
• cleaner visual interpretation
The goal of this update is a simpler, less noisy MACD context tool that supports better decision-making without overcrowding the pane.
Minor internal refinements and visual cleanup were also included.
