MSS / BMS Market Structure (MTF)

491
MSS / BMS Market Structure (MTF) marks breaks of market structure on any symbol and any timeframe, and shows the structure of six timeframes side by side in one table.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Swing points
A swing high is a candle with no higher high within "Swing strength" candles on each side (a swing low is the mirror). By default the strength is 3, so a swing is confirmed 3 candles after it forms. The indicator always tracks the latest swing high and swing low that have not been broken yet.

2. Breaks
When price closes beyond the latest unbroken swing (or wicks beyond it, if you choose "Wick" in the settings), a break is recorded:
- BMS (Break of Market Structure): the break is in the same direction as the current trend, so the trend continues.
- MSS (Market Structure Shift): the break is against the current trend, so the trend flips.
Each break is drawn as a line from the swing point to the candle that broke it. Solid line = MSS, dashed line = BMS. Green = bullish, red = bearish.

3. Live trigger levels
Thin step lines show the current unbroken swing high and swing low. A close above the swing high is the next bullish break; a close below the swing low is the next bearish break.

4. Multi-timeframe table
The same engine runs on six timeframes (5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, Daily and Weekly by default, all changeable). For each timeframe the table shows the trend, the last break (type and level), and the bullish and bearish trigger levels. This makes it easy to see when lower timeframes are shifting against the higher-timeframe trend, or when all timeframes line up.

SETTINGS
- Swing strength (candles each side)
- Break confirmed by: Close or Wick
- Show / hide BMS, MSS and the live swing levels
- Bullish and bearish colours
- The six table timeframes and the table position

ALERTS
Bullish MSS, Bearish MSS, Bullish BMS, Bearish BMS and Any MSS are available as alert conditions. A dynamic alert with the type and level is also sent once per bar close.

NOTES
- Swings are confirmed only after "Swing strength" candles, so the most recent high or low appears with that delay. Breaks are evaluated on closed candles when "Close" is selected.
- Higher-timeframe rows in the table use confirmed data from that timeframe. Rows for timeframes lower than the chart timeframe are approximate, because a chart candle can only see the last lower-timeframe value inside it. For exact lower-timeframe structure, open the chart on that timeframe.
- This is a structure-reading tool, not a buy or sell signal on its own. Combine it with your own levels, risk management and context.
Notes de version
New in this version:
- Swing highs and lows are now labelled HH / LH (highs) and HL / LL (lows), each compared with the previous swing on the same side. Green = bullish structure, red = bearish.
- The swing that was broken to create each MSS is now marked with a clear, solid "BROKEN HIGH" (bullish MSS: the last high of the downtrend) or "BROKEN LOW" (bearish MSS: the last low of the uptrend) label showing its price. Hover the label for details.
- Both can be switched on or off in the new "Swings" section of the settings. Existing settings are unchanged.
Notes de version
New in this version (thanks for the feedback in the comments):
- Bias filter: new "Bias" setting (Both / Bullish only / Bearish only). With one side selected, the chart shows only that side's breaks, BROKEN HIGH / LOW marks, swing labels (HH, HL for bullish; LH, LL for bearish) and live trigger line. The MTF table still shows both.
- Less overlap: a BROKEN HIGH / LOW box now replaces the small swing label at the same point instead of stacking on it.
- Cleaner history: "Breaks kept on the chart" and "Swing labels kept on the chart" limit how many older marks stay visible.
- Text size setting (Tiny / Small / Normal) for the swing and BMS / MSS text; the BROKEN HIGH / LOW boxes are one size larger.
- The live lines are unchanged. Existing settings keep their values.
