Gold is currently trading in a strong 4‑hour uptrend, consolidating inside an ascending triangle positioned directly beneath a major liquidity cluster at 5,1114. The structure shows persistent higher lows, confirming sustained buying pressure, while the flat resistance at 5,114-5060 represents a dense liquidity pool where equal highs, POC, and VAH converge. This creates a classic bullish compression pattern, typically favouring continuation if price can achieve clean acceptance above the zone.
However, the broader structure also carries a weekly bearish divergence, signalling that although the short‑term trend remains bullish, the current leg is maturing. This divergence increases the probability that any failed breakout above 5,114 could trigger a deeper corrective rotation.
Next week’s direction will be determined entirely by how price behaves around 5,114:
• Acceptance above 5,114, and a successful retest opens the path toward 5,156 | 5,312 | 5470 | 5946 - 6000.
• Rejection after sweeping 5,114 (long upper wicks, failed re‑acceptance) activates a corrective move toward 4,910, with potential extension to 4,630 and 4250 if structure breaks.

After rejecting the strong resistance, price has now broken below the lower boundary of the Ascending Triangle. With that structure failure, I’m looking ahead to the next key levels.
On the chart, price has bounced from support and is currently retesting the Cup & Handle neckline at 4922. This area is a significant resistance zone, so I expect price to struggle here and potentially reject.
If price manages to break through 4922, the next major resistance is the supply zone at 4946.
From there, my next downside target is the 4H 200 SMA at 4803.
