After experiencing a sharp rise in Asian markets due to the "Hormuz Strait geopolitical conflict," OIL saw an epic reversal as news of the "US delaying strikes against Iran" materialized, with intraday volatility exceeding 13%. In the short term, the safe-haven premium has faded rapidly, and prices are facing a strong technical correction. The overall trend has shifted from a one-sided upward trend to a wide-range fluctuation at high levels.
Although prices have fluctuated wildly, the short-term technical structure has been damaged, and the support below will face a severe test.
Support levels: $85.00 - $84.96 This is the low point area formed after today's sharp drop, and also the psychological defense line for the bulls. If this level is breached, prices will slide further towards the previous starting point of the upward trend.
Buy zone: $80.00 - $81.50 This is near the starting point of the previous bullish trend and an important daily moving average (EMA50). This area is expected to attract medium- to long-term buyers, making it a relatively ideal location for buying on dips.
Resistance level: $92.00 - $93.00. After the sharp drop, a huge amount of trapped capital has accumulated above. The $92-$93 area is the first resistance level that has been converted into a resistance level during today's decline, and it is unlikely that a short-term rebound will be able to overcome it directly.
