Heikin Ashi Potential Break Alert
Heikin Ashi Wick and Doji Range Break
This indicator identifies a two-candle Heikin Ashi pattern consisting of a prominent wick candle followed immediately by a doji.
A prominent wick is measured as a configurable percentage of the candle’s full high-to-low range. The default threshold is 30%. A doji is identified when its body is no larger than the selected percentage of its full range.
When a qualifying wick-and-doji pair is found, both candles are highlighted using the selected colour. The indicator then monitors the high or low of the doji:
• A pattern containing a dominant lower wick monitors for a move above the doji high and displays HIGH BREAK.
• A pattern containing a dominant upper wick monitors for a move below the doji low and displays LOW BREAK.
Optional confirmation can require a selected number of consecutive Heikin Ashi candles in the corresponding direction before range-break detection becomes active. Confirmation can also be disabled.
Break detection can use either:
• A high or low moving beyond the doji level.
• A candle closing beyond the doji level.
Optional alerts are available for high breaks, low breaks, or either type of break. Break markers and alerts are evaluated after the relevant candle closes.
This indicator is intended for visual pattern identification and chart study. Heikin Ashi candles use synthetic values and can differ from actual traded prices. The indicator does not place orders, calculate trade performance, or provide guarantees about future market movement.
