TheStrat Magnitude + Targets (MTF)
This indicator detects TheStrat setups on the developing bar of any timeframe (chart or higher), and when a signal goes in-force it projects that signal’s full ladder of levels onto the chart: the trigger, the reclaim target, and every prior high or low that has not yet been taken out. The most recent signal’s levels stay on the chart until a new signal replaces them.
HOW IT WORKS
Bars are classified using TheStrat numbering:
1 = inside bar (no prior high or low taken)
2u / 2d = directional bar (one side taken)
3 = outside bar (both sides taken)
A break is defined as one symbol tick beyond the prior bar’s high or low by default. A fixed dollar amount can be used instead.
When a setup completes, the indicator projects:
TRIGGER: the level the signal bar broke to go in-force
TARGET 1 (reclaim): the first magnitude level, typically the prior bar high (long) or low (short)
TARGET 2, 3, 4...: each successive prior-bar high (long) or low (short) that is beyond the previous target and has not yet been taken out, nearest first
Each target line starts on the bar that printed that high or low, so you can see where the level came from. Distance to each target updates live in price and percent.
MULTI-TIMEFRAME
Set the signal timeframe to anything at or above your chart timeframe. Daily or weekly setups and their targets are drawn on an intraday chart, with each line anchored to the intraday bar where the HTF high or low printed. Load multiple instances on different timeframes and enable “Show timeframe on trigger label” to tell them apart.
SETUP DICTIONARY
Every setup can be toggled on or off. Names display as long names or zipcodes.

Going-3 singles (2u red / 2d green), flagged as weak and unconfirmed
PMG context: a reversal into a run of successive lower highs (bullish) or higher lows (bearish) is prefixed “PMG +”
Higher-conviction setups (Rev-Strats, Shot-Gun, Randy Jackson, 3-2 Boom) draw a highlighted ★ trigger line.
POSITION STATUS
While a signal is held, the current bar is evaluated against it:
IN-FORCE: the current bar continues in the signal’s direction
STILL GOOD: no opposing action
RETRACEMENT: an inside bar closing against the position; a pullback, not a failure
POTENTIAL 3: the opposite side of the prior bar has been taken (including an outside bar), or the with-side break is closing against the position. When flagged, the indicator draws the 3-trigger level and the current bar’s open as the continuity level.
A weak or gap signal is removed when the forming bar negates it. A lone going-3 bar does not override an opposing signal that is still valid.
TARGET TRACKING
Taken-out targets are greyed and marked ✓, and stay on the chart for reference
Reclaimed levels (taken out on a close, then price returned to the near side) are highlighted and marked ↩
If the bar that established the signal changes shape (for example, a 2u expands into a 3), the signal is re-classified or cleared
SIGNAL TABLE
Shows timeframe and pattern, direction, trigger, Target 1, distance to T1, profit from trigger, number of targets, position status, and reversal count. Rows can be toggled individually.
CHOP WARNING
The indicator counts reversals in alternating directions since the last Target 1 hit. When the count reaches the threshold (default 2), a CHOP WARNING banner displays and an alert condition fires. Back-to-back reversals that fail to reach target indicate a market without direction.

Signals are evaluated live on the developing bar. A setup can form, change, or disappear before the bar closes. Confirm on the close for the timeframe you are trading.
