RELEASE NOTES — PDC Fix

🐛 BUG FIX — Previous Day Close (PDC)
Fixed an issue where the Previous Day Close line was
displayed at an incorrect price level on some symbols.
▶ What was happening
The PDC auto-detection used a 1-minute request.security
call to capture the close at 15:59 NY. Depending on how
the data feed aligned its 1-minute bars, this could
capture a price from before the actual session close,
resulting in a displayed PDC that did not match the real
16:00 NY close (sometimes off by hundreds of points on
fast-moving instruments).
▶ What's been fixed
The PDC is now captured by tracking the RTH session
(09:30–16:00 America/New_York) directly on the chart's
timeframe. The close of the last bar of the session is
frozen as the PDC for the next trading day.
This is the same reliable method already used internally
for the RTH OHLC tracking, and it matches the official
"Close" value displayed by TradingView in the top-right
data window.
▶ Impact
- The displayed PDC now matches the real previous day's
RTH close — no more discrepancy
- No action required from the user — the fix applies
automatically
- Manual override input (Override Previous Day Close)
remains available if you prefer to enter the value
yourself
- All other features (Taylor Zone, Sell/Buy Levels,
PDH/PDL, Trend Table, etc.) are unchanged

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════RELEASE NOTES — v3 Update
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
This update brings a Pine Script v6 upgrade, a critical PDC
bug fix, and a new RTH OHLC information panel.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
▶ NEW — RTH Previous Day OHLC Panel
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
A new information panel has been added in the TOP-RIGHT
corner of the chart, displaying the previous RTH session's
key values for quick reference during preparation:
• Date (DD/MM/YYYY of the previous RTH session)
• Open (RTH open at 09:30 NY)
• High (RTH high of the session)
• Low (RTH low of the session)
• Close (RTH close at 16:00 NY)
Values are tracked live during the session (09:30–16:00
America/New_York) and frozen at the close, then displayed
on the next trading day.
Configurable settings (group "RTH Previous Day OHLC Panel"):
• Show RTH Previous Day OHLC Panel — toggle on/off
• Independent color customization for each row
(Date / Open / High / Low / Close)
• Text size — tiny / small / normal / large
The panel coexists with the existing Trend Table
(bottom-right) without any overlap.

▶ BUG FIX — Previous Day Close (PDC)
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Fixed an issue where the Previous Day Close line was
displayed at an incorrect price level on some symbols.
The PDC auto-detection previously relied on a 1-minute
request.security call to capture the close near 15:59 NY.
Depending on how the data feed aligned its 1-minute bars,
this could capture a price from before the actual session
close, resulting in a PDC line that did not match the real
16:00 NY close (sometimes off by hundreds of points on
fast-moving instruments).
The PDC is now captured by tracking the RTH session
directly on the chart's timeframe. The close of the last
bar of the session is frozen as the PDC for the next
trading day, ensuring it always matches the official
"Close" value displayed by TradingView.
The manual override (Override Previous Day Close) remains
available for users who prefer to enter the value
themselves.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
▶ UPGRADE — Pine Script v6
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The indicator has been upgraded from Pine Script v5 to v6
to benefit from the latest TradingView language version:
• Better performance and faster runtime
• Stricter type system for fewer hidden bugs
• Future-proofing for upcoming Pine Script features
• Compliance with TradingView's current version standard
(v5 is now flagged as outdated)
The migration was done carefully — all existing
functionality behaves exactly the same as before.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
▶ STABILITY FIX
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Fixed a runtime error that could occur on certain
timeframes ("Objects positioned using xloc.bar_index cannot
be drawn further than 500 bars into the future"). Drawing
positions are now safely capped to TradingView's 500-bar
limit.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
COMPATIBILITY
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
• All existing settings are preserved — no action
required from the user
• Pine Script v6
• All previous features unchanged (Taylor Zone, Avg
Sell/Buy, Sell/Buy Levels, PDH/PDL, Asia/London
Session H/L, Trend Table)
