Pattern Breakout Signals [AFD]

See what broke. See the plan.
Pattern Breakout Signals brings the breakout, its underlying structure and calculated Entry, Stop and three targets onto one chart. Trendlines, parallel channels and classical chart patterns are detected internally; no companion indicator is needed.
ON THE CHART
THE LEVELS
Entry is the signal-bar close. The default stop uses 1.5 times the previous bar's ATR; Boundary mode places it beyond the broken boundary using an ATR buffer. Targets default to 1R, 2R and 3R, where R is the entry-to-rounded-stop distance. Each multiple is adjustable. Stops and targets round away from Entry to the tick grid. By design, prices freeze at the signal close; they do not trail.
WHICH BREAKS COUNT
Signals require confirmed structure and a close beyond the breach tolerance, following a previous close inside tolerance relative to the previous bar's boundary. Pivot confirmation introduces delay.
Minimum score and Maximum extension filter signals; extension defaults to one prior-bar ATR beyond the boundary after tolerance. A rejected crossing still consumes that structure's break opportunity. Opposite-direction crossings on one bar suppress signals; otherwise eligible unrelated breaks compete by score, then smaller entry-to-stop distance, then a fixed identity order.
While a plan is Active, qualifying same-direction breaks sharing at least two distinct anchors (same bar and price) with its original formation count as related confirmations, at most once per bar. They create no extra marker, plan or alert. A new primary signal replaces the displayed plan.
READING THE GRADE
Score combines close distance beyond the boundary after tolerance (40%), directional candle body (30%) and close location (30%). Components are normalized and limited to 0-1; distance uses prior-bar ATR. A is 75 or above, B is 50 to below 75, C is below 50. Fixed design weights, no outcome calibration: the grade measures the breakout candle, not future results. The guide and Full/JSON alert receipts carry the detailed formulas.
AFTER THE SIGNAL
Only later closed bars are checked for Stop and target reaches, including gaps. Targets are tracked independently and keep their green price/checkmark after a later stop. A stop and a newly reached target on the same bar produce Order unknown; that bar adds no target reaches and the stop price stays neutral. Reaches describe bar ranges, not fills or executed trades.
A plan ends when Stop or all three targets are reached, order is unknown, its lifetime expires (100 bars from the signal by default), or a new primary supersedes it. Reaches are checked before expiry. Level length controls drawing length separately. There are no aggregate outcome statistics or outcome alerts.
SETUP AND LIMITATIONS
Use standard time-based bars or candles. Signal labels hides triangles and technical grades; Show formations and Previous formation control outlines separately. For signal alerts, select Any alert() function call; Full text and JSON formats are available. Related confirmations send no alert.
These timing and lifecycle descriptions state the design; broader native chart verification remains outstanding. Calculated levels are not predictions. Not financial advice.

ON THE CHART
- Long/Short triangles mark recent selected closed-bar signals. Hover for the formation or pattern name only.
- A solid outline shows the current formation. Previous formations shown selects 1-20 recent arrows with their frozen grey dashed formations (default 3), within retained history and drawing age.
- The latest signal draws Entry, Stop and T1/T2/T3, with optional shaded zones. The current formation is independent of those arrows.
- The method panel shows prices and the technical grade without hover popups. Reached target prices turn green; a reached stop price turns red.
