ICT Logo 2–1–2 Fractal AMD Cycles
This indicator is an experimental time-cycle framework inspired by ICT’s logo sequence and the fractal nature of price delivery.
The core idea is that every selected time range can be divided into three proportional phases using the sequence:

This creates three consecutive time phases (Power of 3):
These phases can be interpreted through the familiar AMD framework:
The indicator does not assume that every first phase must accumulate, every middle phase must manipulate, or every final phase must distribute. Instead, it provides a consistent temporal structure in which those behaviors can be studied.
Fractal AMD micro-cycles
The main feature of the indicator is recursive subdivision.
Each of the three primary AMD phases is divided again using the same 2–1–2 ratio. This creates smaller AMD cycles inside the larger one.
At each additional depth, the number of cycles increases:
This makes it possible to observe how short-term price delivery develops inside a larger daily, weekly, monthly, four-hour, hourly, or intraday cycle.
For example, a daily parent cycle contains three major phases. Each major phase can then contain its own accumulation, manipulation, and distribution sequence. Those smaller cycles may themselves contain further micro-cycles.
The result is a nested temporal structure:

Range boxes
Every cycle can be surrounded by a box that records the high and low produced during that specific time window.
The larger boxes show the range of the parent or major AMD phase, while the smaller nested boxes show the range created inside each micro-cycle.
The boxes update as new candles print and remain anchored to the chart’s time and price coordinates.
This helps visualize:
The box colors represent the repeating three-part sequence, not guaranteed bullish or bearish direction.
Supported parent cycles
The indicator can apply the same 2–1–2 structure across multiple time ranges:
The default daily range is: 00:00–16:15 New York time
The default weekly range is: Sunday futures open–Friday 16:15 New York time
Weekly, daily, and repeating-cycle anchors are adjustable, allowing the model to be tested on different market sessions and instruments.
Timing guides
Vertical timing lines show the boundaries of each cycle and micro-cycle.
Different colors and line styles distinguish the fractal depth. Major boundaries represent the larger cycle divisions, while thinner or dotted lines represent smaller nested timing intervals.
These lines are intended as areas of interest rather than automatic reversal signals (Or are they? 💡).
A timing boundary becomes more meaningful when it aligns with additional context such as:
The indicator also plots the New York Midnight Open using the actual 00:00 candle opening price.
This level can be used as a daily reference for:
Suggested interpretation
The indicator is best used from the outside inward.
First, identify the current parent cycle and determine which of its three major phases is active. Then examine the smaller cycle currently developing inside that phase.
For example:
The daily cycle may be in its final 2-phase,
while the active hourly micro-cycle is still in manipulation.
This allows the trader to distinguish between the larger delivery structure and the immediate short-term behavior.
A lower-timeframe reversal may only represent a micro-cycle transition, while a reversal at the boundary of both a micro-cycle and a major parent phase may carry greater significance.

This creates three consecutive time phases (Power of 3):
- First phase: 40% of the cycle
- Middle phase: 20% of the cycle
- Final phase: 40% of the cycle

- Manipulation
- Distribution
The indicator does not assume that every first phase must accumulate, every middle phase must manipulate, or every final phase must distribute. Instead, it provides a consistent temporal structure in which those behaviors can be studied.

Latest Update: Cleaner Chart Controls and Fully Customizable Cycle LinesThis update adds more control over which parts of the fractal cycle structure are displayed, making it easier to keep the chart clean while preserving the levels relevant to your analysis.
Independent box visibility
Each range-box level can now be enabled or disabled separately.
Available controls include:
- Full parent-cycle range box
- Level 1 major cycle boxes
- Level 2 micro-cycle boxes
- Level 3 nested micro-cycle boxes
- Level 4 lower-level fractal boxes
This allows traders to simplify the display without changing the underlying cycle calculations.
For example, you may choose to display only the larger parent and Level 1 AMD ranges, or remove the large boxes and keep only the smaller micro-cycles for lower-timeframe analysis.
Disabling one level does not interrupt the calculation of deeper levels. The fractal structure continues to be calculated normally, even when some of its visual layers are hidden.
Independent vertical-line visibility
The vertical timing guides can also be controlled by fractal level.
Each timing-line level may be shown or hidden independently:
- Level 1 — major parent-cycle divisions
- Level 2 — first layer of micro-cycle boundaries
- Level 3 — deeper nested timing boundaries
- Level 4 — smallest available fractal divisions
A master switch is also available to remove all vertical timing lines while keeping the range boxes visible.
This is useful when the complete recursive structure becomes too dense, particularly on lower timeframes or when higher fractal depths are selected.
Custom line type for every level
Each vertical timing-line level now has its own selectable line style:
- Solid
- Dashed
- Dotted
This makes it possible to visually separate the larger structural boundaries from the smaller micro-cycle divisions.
A common configuration may use:
- Level 1: Solid
- Level 2: Dashed
- Level 3: Dotted
- Level 4: Dotted
However, every level can be customized independently.
Custom line thickness
The thickness of each vertical-line level can also be adjusted separately.
Major cycle boundaries can be emphasized with thicker lines, while smaller micro-cycle divisions can remain thin and visually subordinate.
This creates a clearer hierarchy between:
- Parent cycle
- Major AMD phases
- Micro-cycles
- Nested micro-cycles
- Cleaner chart presets
The new controls allow several practical chart layouts.
Minimal structure
- Parent box: On
- Level 1 boxes: On
- Levels 2–4 boxes: Off
- Level 1 vertical lines: On
- Levels 2–4 vertical lines: Off

The indicator can display a large amount of information because every parent cycle contains multiple nested AMD-style micro-cycles.
The new visibility and styling controls make it possible to reduce visual noise and adapt the indicator to different workflows, instruments, and chart timeframes.
The underlying 2–1–2 fractal calculations remain unchanged. This update focuses entirely on presentation, readability, and user control.
