Introduction
APEX SMC Confluence is a market-structure-based technical analysis indicator designed to help traders study price action, structural breaks, potential trend changes, Fair Value Gaps, and important price zones within a single chart layout.
The indicator combines several widely used Smart Money Concepts (SMC) with a clean visual presentation. Its purpose is to make structural information easier to interpret without requiring multiple separate indicators for basic market-structure analysis.
APEX SMC Confluence is specifically intended for traders analyzing Gold (XAUUSD) and Bitcoin (BTCUSD). It can be used across multiple chart timeframes, depending on the trader's analysis style and individual preferences.
The indicator does not attempt to guarantee market direction. Instead, it provides visual information that traders can evaluate alongside price action, market conditions, and their own risk-management rules.
🔹1. Market Structure Analysis
Market structure is an important component of price-action analysis. APEX SMC Confluence uses confirmed swing highs and swing lows to identify potential structural breaks.
Break of Structure (BOS)
Break of Structure identifies a candle closing beyond a previously established swing level.
The indicator distinguishes between bullish and bearish structural breaks according to the direction of the breakout and the previously recorded market bias.
Bullish BOS: Price closes above a confirmed swing high.
Bearish BOS: Price closes below a confirmed swing low.
These events can help traders observe whether price is extending its recent structure.
A BOS does not guarantee continuation. False breakouts and sudden reversals can occur under different market conditions.
Change of Character (CHoCH)
Change of Character highlights a potential change in the previously identified market structure.
Bullish CHoCH: An upside structural break following a bearish structural bias.
Bearish CHoCH: A downside structural break following a bullish structural bias.
CHoCH labels can help traders recognize possible changes in market behavior. However, a single structural break is not sufficient to confirm a lasting trend reversal.
🔹2. Premium and Discount Zones
APEX SMC Confluence displays Premium and Discount areas based on the latest confirmed swing range. The range is divided around its midpoint, also known as Equilibrium.

🔹Premium Zone
The upper portion of the selected range. Traders may use this area to assess whether price is trading relatively high within the current range.

🔹Discount Zone
The lower portion of the selected range. Traders may use this area to assess whether price is trading relatively low within the current range.

🔹Equilibrium
The midpoint between the selected swing high and swing low. It separates the upper and lower portions of the range.
These zones provide context for price location. They do not independently determine whether a trade should be entered.
The active range may change when new confirmed swing points are detected.
🔹3. Fair Value Gap (FVG) Detection
Fair Value Gaps are three-candle price imbalances commonly studied in price-action and Smart Money Concepts analysis.
The indicator identifies two basic configurations:
Bullish FVG: The current candle's low is above the high of the candle two bars earlier.
Bearish FVG: The current candle's high is below the low of the candle two bars earlier.
The identified gap is displayed as a shaded chart zone.
FVG zones can help traders monitor areas where price may revisit or react. Not every gap will be filled, and a revisit does not guarantee a reversal or continuation.
To keep the chart readable, the indicator provides settings for zone extension and the maximum number of active FVG zones. Filled or expired zones are removed according to the script's defined conditions.
🔹4. Supply and Demand Zones
The indicator marks approximate supply and demand areas around confirmed swing points.
Supply zones are displayed around confirmed swing highs, while demand zones are displayed around confirmed swing lows.
These zones provide a visual reference for examining potential price reactions, support, resistance, and local market structure.
The zones are swing-based approximations. They are not institutional order-flow measurements and should not be interpreted as proof that large market participants have placed orders at those prices.
🔹5. Automatic Structure Trendlines
APEX SMC Confluence automatically draws trendlines between successive confirmed swing points.
The indicator uses separate lines to represent recent swing-high and swing-low structure.
These lines can help traders visualize:
Recent directional structure.
Potential support and resistance slopes.
Areas where price may approach an existing trendline.
Changes in the relationship between recent swing points.
Trendlines update when new confirmed pivots become available. Since pivot confirmation requires subsequent candles, the latest line may not represent the earliest possible turning point.
🔹6. BUY and SELL Signals
The indicator includes rule-based BUY and SELL signals.
A BUY signal is generated when a qualifying bullish BOS or bullish CHoCH event occurs and the optional EMA filter is satisfied.
A SELL signal is generated when a qualifying bearish BOS or bearish CHoCH event occurs and the optional EMA filter is satisfied.
Signals are confirmed at candle close.
The EMA filter compares price with the selected Exponential Moving Average. When enabled, bullish signals require price above the EMA, while bearish signals require price below the EMA.
This filter is optional and can be adjusted in the indicator settings.
The signals are designed to support technical analysis. They do not account for every relevant factor, including news events, spreads, slippage, execution costs, or individual trading objectives.
🔹7. SMC Confluence Dashboard
The dashboard presents several indicator readings in a compact panel at the top-right of the chart.
It includes the following information:
Major Bias: Displays the current direction recorded by the market-structure logic.
Minor Bias: Shows whether price is above or below the selected EMA.
Price Zone: Indicates whether price is above or below the midpoint of the latest confirmed swing range.
Near OB: Provides a simple proximity check against the latest swing-based supply or demand area. This is an approximate zone check, not a full order-block detection algorithm.
In FVG: Displays whether any FVG zones remain active on the chart. It does not necessarily mean the current price is inside an FVG.
Confluence Score: Displays a rule-based score out of 100 using selected structural, EMA, and FVG conditions.
The confluence score is a custom visualization metric. It is not a probability of success, a backtested win rate, or a guarantee of trade quality.
🔹8. Chart Design and Visual Presentation
The indicator uses a dark chart-oriented visual theme intended to keep the main price action visible.
Its visual elements include:
Purple supply and Premium areas.
Turquoise demand and Discount areas.
Clear BOS and CHoCH labels.
Swing markers for confirmed pivots.
Automatic structure trendlines.
Shaded bullish and bearish FVG zones.
BUY and SELL signal labels.
A compact SMC Confluence dashboard.
The design focuses on presenting structural information in one place while allowing traders to disable individual components through the settings.
Users can customize the swing length, EMA length, FVG visibility, zone extension, maximum active FVG zones, trendlines, structure labels, signals, and dashboard.
🔹9. Supported Markets
APEX SMC Confluence is designed specifically for the following instruments:
Gold — XAUUSD
Suitable for studying gold price action, structural breaks, potential reaction areas, and intraday market behavior.
Bitcoin — BTCUSD
Suitable for studying Bitcoin price action, market structure, imbalances, and potential breakout or reversal conditions.
The same indicator can be applied to either instrument. However, Gold and Bitcoin can behave differently in terms of volatility, liquidity, session activity, and reaction to market news. Settings that work well on one instrument may not work equally well on the other.
🔹10. Recommended Timeframes
The indicator can be applied to different chart timeframes. The following are suggested starting points for testing rather than claims of optimal performance.

🔹11. Timeframes
1-Hour (1H)
For analyzing wider intraday trends, confirmed swing points, and structural context.
4-Hour (4H)
For higher-timeframe market structure and broader price zones.
For initial testing, the 5-minute, 15-minute, and 1-hour timeframes are useful starting points on both supported markets. Traders should evaluate each timeframe separately and select settings that suit their analysis process.

The arrows I have marked within the red pattern indicating Liquidity Sweep, BOS, CHoCH, and the Sell Zone are manual they are not part of the indicator.
The targets I’ve indicated the red and green candles are also manual; they are not part of the indicator. Just so you know.
