Sunday Open Context | jjart

Sunday Open Context marks the first available chart bar that opens on Sunday in your selected calendar time zone. It keeps recent Sunday Open levels on the chart, adds the developing Sunday High and Sunday Low, and provides adaptive reaction bands around the latest Sunday Open.
Use Exchange for the symbol's exchange time zone, UTC for a universal reference, or Custom for an IANA time zone such as Europe/London. The indicator is designed for intraday and 1D charts. It determines the calendar date from the opening timestamp of each bar. A chart bar that spans midnight is not split across dates. Markets without Sunday trading do not create Sunday Open levels.
The Sunday range begins with the first Sunday bar and updates until the calendar changes to Monday. It remains on the chart as a weekly reference. ATR reaction bands expand and contract with the market's current volatility. Adjust the ATR length and band width to match the symbol and timeframe.
Alerts are available for a new Sunday Open, price crossing the latest Sunday Open, and breaks of the Sunday High or Sunday Low. Bar-close confirmation is enabled by default. The script excludes the bar that creates a new Sunday Open from cross alerts so that a new reference level is not interpreted as a price cross.
Sunday Open Context is a charting reference and does not predict direction, provide trading advice, or guarantee future support or resistance.
The session module draws bounded Asia, London, and New York ranges from their own high, low, start, and end bars in separate pastel colors. A liquidity sweep is identified when price trades beyond a completed session high or low and closes back inside it on the same candle. The first sweep of each side draws one thin dashed horizontal connector from the session boundary to the sweep candle. Session schedules use the dedicated session time zone setting.
