RM Multi-Leg Options Strategy Chart + VWAP + Supertrend
RM Multi-Leg Options Strategy Chart is designed to help traders visualize and analyze the combined price behavior of multiple option legs on a single chart.
Instead of analyzing each option contract separately, this indicator combines selected legs into a synthetic strategy price, making it easier to monitor the overall behavior of common options strategies.
Supported Strategies
The indicator supports:
Straddle
Strangle
Iron Fly
Iron Condor
Custom 2-Leg strategies
Custom 4-Leg strategies
For each leg, users can select the required option contract and define whether the position is Long or Short.
2-Leg Mode
Use 2-Leg mode for strategies such as:
Long Straddle
CE + PE
Long Strangle
OTM CE + OTM PE
The same mode can also be used for custom two-leg combinations such as Call Spreads, Put Spreads and other paired option positions.
4-Leg Mode
4-Leg mode allows users to construct strategies such as:
Iron Fly
Short ATM Call
Short ATM Put
Long OTM Call
Long OTM Put
Iron Condor
Short OTM Call
Short OTM Put
Long farther OTM Call
Long farther OTM Put
Users can also create their own custom four-leg combinations.
Chart Types
The indicator provides two visualization options:
Line Chart
Displays the combined synthetic strategy price as a continuous line.
Candlestick Chart
Creates synthetic OHLC candles from the selected option legs, allowing traders to analyze the strategy using conventional candlestick techniques.
VWAP
The indicator includes a Strategy VWAP calculated from the synthetic strategy price.
VWAP can be used as a reference for understanding whether the current strategy value is trading above or below its volume-weighted average.
The current strategy price and VWAP value are displayed at the right/end of the chart for easy reference.
Supertrend
An integrated Supertrend is also available.
Users can choose between:
Strategy — Supertrend is calculated using the synthetic strategy.
Nifty Spot — Supertrend is based on Nifty Spot and can be used as a broader market trend filter.
Users can customize:
Supertrend ATR Period
Supertrend Factor
Uptrend color
Downtrend color
Line width
Nifty Spot Default
The indicator uses NSE:NIFTY as the default symbol for the four legs.
Users can replace these defaults with the appropriate option contracts available on TradingView.
Important Usage Note
This indicator is primarily a visualization and analysis tool. The synthetic strategy chart represents the combined value of the selected legs according to their Long/Short direction.
For actual option trading, users should verify:
Contract expiry
Strike prices
Option liquidity
Bid/ask spread
Brokerage and transaction costs
Slippage
Position sizing
Margin requirements
Market conditions
The synthetic chart should not be considered an exact representation of executable portfolio P&L because actual execution prices may differ from theoretical combined prices.
