Auto Fib Extension - Confirmed A-B-C [AFD]

4 945
Auto Fib Extension - Confirmed A-B-C [AFD] finds the latest qualified A-B-C swing from confirmed pivots and projects trend-based Fibonacci extensions from C, with two higher-timeframe layers.

  • Up to seven extension levels, each with its own color. Each live level has its own label showing the ratio, never on the line: chart labels at the line's end (or its start with Label Position Left) and higher-timeframe labels at the other end, so a chart label and a higher-timeframe label never stack (the two higher-timeframe layers can). A ✓ marks a level price has touched since the projection appeared. By default, levels more than 10 ATR(14) from price are left off, except the live chart layer's next unreached level, or its farthest once all are reached.
  • Two higher-timeframe layers, on by default where a higher step exists (one on weekly, none on monthly; off on range, Renko and other non-time charts), in their own colors; where a chart level and an HTF level sit close together, the zone is highlighted.
  • Optional faded past chart projections, cut off where they ended (off by default, up to five). On a layer price invalidated, the newest projection keeps its faded legs and its A, B and C ✕ tags as dim text and draws no levels; older invalidated ones disappear.
  • The C tag shows how far C pulled back into the A→B move as a Fib ratio; hover it for the percentage.
  • One status panel with a row per layer: Pending until a close beyond B, Active, or Invalidated after a close beyond C, with enabled levels hit and the price distance to the next one not yet hit.
  • Alerts on closed bars for a new A-B-C, B cleared, a level reached and invalidation, plus an optional Near Level alert (off by default); higher-timeframe layers are included unless switched off.

Late by design: a pivot confirms its pivot strength in bars after it prints, counted on its own layer's timeframe: 3, 5 or 7 for the Swing Size presets (5 at the default, Medium), or the Custom Pivot Strength (2 to 50). By design, an HTF layer's A-B-C comes from closed HTF bars, but its touches, B cleared and invalidation are judged on closed chart bars, so a 4H level can be marked before the 4H bar closes.

Checked on bar replay with an earlier build whose calculation this version keeps unchanged (this version changed only tag styling, a panel header and setting tooltips and was not itself replayed): NQ 15-minute futures from 27 October 2026 and USDJPY 1-hour from 20 October 2026, each to the last bar. Sixteen and eleven tag changes, including one hourly and two 4-hour changes; at the last replayed bar the tags equalled the live chart's, every level label sat at its line's correct end (USDJPY: chart labels only), and a full reload of the NQ chart drew the same tags. On an older build's NQ replay, each new swing appeared only after its C confirmed, and tags changed only through a new swing or, once, a more extreme C replacing the old one. Not checked on replay: the daily layer, faded past projections and alerts. Replay data can differ from live data: on an older build's USDJPY replay, one replayed swing point sat 0.002 yen above the live one.

A level is a ratio of the A→B move, not a forecast, target or signal.
